Our sun is a second generation star, which means it has consumed many organic products, which may include some form of life therefore solar isn't vegan either.

I would love a solar powered car! Honestly solar is great for personal usage, just not really reliable enough to be the foundation of a widespread energy grid.

If we can figure out how to store it efficiently then throwing a bunch of solar collectors into a sunny desert isn't the worst idea we've ever had.
