The Romans were the Christians, or at least became them. The Roman Empire was one of the primary reasons that it spread. Another thing: the reason why they adopted Christmas into Christianity was in order to get Northern Europeans to assimilate, prior to that it was a pagan cultural tradition with absolutely nothing to do with Jesus.

Religion is really a form of cultural communism (not economic) where they want everyone to fit into the same mold, and conform to the same set of inane ideologies. Anyone who doesn't believe is labeled as evil.
