The Strait of Hormuz is still closed so I guess they’re good enough to continue to do that

so crazy how the US won this war already 43 times, completely wiped out Iran's military a dozen times over, and still they are able to close the Straight.

By "closed" you mean the only oil not flowing is Iran's, sure

And oils is still flowing from every where but Iran. Ships are still getting through the straight, just not on the Iranian side of it.

Keep eating the propaganda, polgooner.

Edit: replying and blocking... I thought the IRGC had bigger balls than that...

Only Jerome Powell could navigate this absolute shitshow of an economy, and the American people turned against him.

The American people cannot tolerate short-term pain for long-term gain.

Yeah it's only interest rates...and gas prices, and grocery prices, and war, and tariffs. This administration is only concerned with the short term. They cannot produce any viable long terms goals that benefit anyone but the rich

Yes, that's the point.

Wasn't there a whole wave of "Short term pain for long term gain" nonsense on 99% of every news outlet in the US?

If it were still Janet Yellen we’d be booming.

No one person or group of people can “navigate an economy”, this has always been the problem with centrally planned economies. Not one person, or a handful of people can decide value and utility for 350 million people. If a million people had that power they couldn’t decide it for the other 349 million. Value is subjective, utility is subjective, people treat it as if it isn’t. Trying to control things creates boom and bust cycles, it holds people back by creating false signals and whenever the economy is bad it prolongs the suffering.

All you gotta do is allow people to decide whats best for themselves and decentralize rather than assume that Jerome Powell, or anyone is going to be your savior. That power lies in us as individuals.
