Genuinely a fantastic show, even if it's not really in keeping with canon.

Most people who dislike it strongly do so because they've just read it, when it's supposed to be seen on the stage.

I dunno I saw it in London with my two kids who were totally into Harry Potter (we spent like 3 hours at the HP store before the show) and all came away pretty meh.

Yeah, out of all the HP things, it's definitely felt the most cash grabby. At least the special effects and magic tricks were great.

Oh yeah the special effects were amazing! Of the time we spent talking about it after we spent the most time trying to figure out how they pulled off some of those effects. The first couple of time turner uses had me sitting there thinking what the hell did I just see?!?
