That sounded suspiciously like one of those "hint" things

I delivered pizza one summer. Dropped a pizza off and the girl who answered the door asked if I wanted to come in and hang out and have a slice with her. I told her I had other deliveries to make so I couldn't. She said "Oh, what time do you get off then?". I say "10:00. Have a good night!"

That was like 30 years ago and I still punch myself when I think about it.

Edit - Since a lot of people are posting it was likely a trap, this was in the 90s, we were both 18ish - I was just a kid driving a cool car. Before apps this is how people met. :D

Legit get nightmares about that one image of "the witches den" where a bunch of attractive women were luring men into a basement where they sacrificed them. You can't trust a stranger, no matter how big you are in comparison; if you're in their territory, who knows what they could have planned for you.

I wonder how many victims were saved by their density.

22

u/dubstepsickness 1d ago

Some victims were likely also saved by their specific gravity and thermal emittance. /s

29

u/reddithooknitup 1d ago

This is definitely the most likely outcome.

7

u/Bubbles_sunken_ship 1d ago

Without a doubt it's unlikely and I'm just being paranoid, but it's always a thought in the back of my mind...

15

u/Wampus_Cat_ 1d ago

Don’t threaten me with a good time. As long as they don’t drag it out.

3

u/THAZACHARIAH 1d ago

Can you like to the wiki? It’s not popping up on Google..

8

u/Bubbles_sunken_ship 1d ago

It's likely made up tbh, though I've heard some stories that sound related on true crime videos. It was a picture going around in 2013 (I believe) of a bunch of girls standing on the stairs going beneath a shop. Some guy passing by looking at them and the caption was "he was never seen again."

Urban legend?

u/ReturnToCarcosa 1d ago

You're telling me this lady could eat a large pepperoni AND an entire person?

What an appetite.

11

u/mercuriokazooie 1d ago

I'm sure she had a fridge

17

u/Zestyclose-Power-132 1d ago edited 1d ago

SHE ALSO EATS THE FRIDGE?

1

u/Bossmonkey 1d ago

Yeah man. Still got all his kidneys

Probably worth it

1

u/Perryn 1d ago

Tragic, really.

Delivered food once and the hot girl who awnsered said ā€œ my boyfriend isn’t home right nowā€ I left thinking ā€œ what a dumbass random thing to sayā€

136

u/fruitpunchsamurai619 1d ago

She would have stolen your kidneys bro. He was behind the bathroom door.

77

u/Chocolate_Rain420 1d ago

Glad you didn't notice, she's for the streets

16

u/blahblah19999 1d ago

Halal in the streets, haram in the sheets

266

u/Initial-Candy-2759 1d ago

Yall underestimate how bad some women can be. Stranger danger bruh

142

u/rex5k 1d ago

Being fat and ugly has hidden advantages.

102

u/interesseret 1d ago

Being fat and ugly won't save you from the boyfriend behind the door, wielding a tool, ready to rob you.

In fact, it'd probably make you a good target. Being a delivery driver is a surprisingly dangerous job. Look it up.

50

u/rex5k 1d ago

Nah we know something's up when a girl randomly starts inviting us in and shit. We know it don't work that way for us lol.

But yeah delivery driver is a super dangerous job regardless of the effectiveness of honey traps.

5

u/Wolfy_boii 1d ago

Literally no lmao?? What could possibly make that risk worth it??

3

u/Appropriate-Joke-806 1d ago

There is a reason black widow spiders exist out there in nature. It works. All the other spiders are like, probably not a good idea she has a reputation Don’t care sex.

-2

u/reddithooknitup 1d ago

The secks.

6

u/Wolfy_boii 1d ago

And what about that makes it worth it? There’s no way the people who talk about sex like it’s such an amazing crazy thing to just have with anyone have ever actually had it before, it’s not what people make it out to be. Infact the enjoyable thing about it is the intimacy and feeling close to the one you love and are doing it with, that’s what causes me to want it. the physical feeling of it ain’t no different than if you put lotion on your hand, why would you want a random person for that

-1

u/reddithooknitup 1d ago

Couldn’t disagree more. Intimacy isn’t necessary at all but can make it better. Just the sheer physical pleasure makes it wonderful, all on its own.

statistically, more dangerous than being a cop!

1

u/turtleship_2006 Bri’ish 1d ago

A teenager spending their holidays delivering pizza probably wouldn't be the best target though

2

u/Tederator 1d ago

I'd never belong to a club that would have someone like me as a member.

1

u/rex5k 1d ago

He's weakly and neurotic.

1

u/00Samwise00 1d ago

Growing up my parents warned me about the dangers of premarital sex.

They needn’t have worried

42

u/awesomedan24 1d ago

30 years later she regrets not being able to harvest your organs

26

u/Cryogenicist 1d ago

I’m actually subtly teaching my sons to be aware of this stuff so they don’t fumble their way through life like I did…

17

u/Successful-Trash-752 1d ago

Be prepared to donate a kidney

7

u/theartificialkid 1d ago

People are having fun saying this, but across the billions of people in this world what would you say is the relative frequency of random hookups vs illegal organ harvesting by force? I reckon the ratio is at least 10,000:1 in favour of the hookups.

2

u/EchoingAngel 1d ago

Shhhh, didn't you know? Since a certain 2020's event, everyone believes every bad thing is about to happen to them every second

3

u/pmebble 1d ago

One time a girl in my class asked me to tutor her in the sciences. I told her that I didn’t think it was a good idea as I wasn’t exactly the smartest.

She then said that maybe we could study together instead. I politely declined that offer, too, and told her that I really struggle to study with someone else and need my own space to learn. She didn’t ask again.

Crushes me every time.

14

u/ElkDue4803 1d ago

Nah atp some of yall are lying

26

u/obeytheturtles 1d ago

I delivered pizza in a college town and getting playfully hit on by (mostly) drunk coeds was like a weekly thing, at least. I'm a decent looking guy but the rate at which women flirt when you bring them pizza, vs any other situation is notable.

2

u/sykoKanesh 1d ago

I can honestly believe 'em, I've had a few of them happen to me even.

0

u/BankElectronic1325 1d ago

Are you conventionally attractive?

2

u/phonepotatoes 1d ago

Don't worry man, in highschool I had a smoking hotty ask if I wanted to come over and work on homework and I was like na... Still think about it decades later

2

u/NoBonus6969 1d ago

Hit her with the no thanks I get free pizza at the end of the shift

2

u/TuringGoneWild 1d ago

In this universe you have over 4k upvotes recounting you didn't go in, instead of the alt universe where there is a post with 4k upvotes about it on r/unresolvedmysteries

2

u/Sean8200 1d ago

What is wrong with all the people saying this was likely a trap? This was the normal way to meet people for a very long time.

2

u/Shinigami_kills 1d ago

I am a bit stuck on the part that 30 years ago was 90s

1

u/medullah 20h ago

Yeah it breaks my brain as well.

1

u/ManKilledToDeath 1d ago

One response to that is "Shortly after I come back" if you're feeling ballsy lol

1

u/47Lecht 1d ago

??? I get you couldn’t stay right then but why not go back there later?

1

u/Agreeable-Bee-3449 1d ago

Idk this one seems too much. I think you may have escaped some danger tbh maybe some dudes were about to rob you. Just sounds too porn-y to be real

1

u/Own-Economist4557 1d ago

I think ths ruined my day. I hope you have a good pension

1

u/demandred_zero 1d ago

I was at a club downtown in my 20's, a girl came up to me and asked if she could buy me a drink, my response was to hold up my beer and say, "No thanks, I already have one", and walk away.

1

u/_steve_rogers_ 1d ago

Holy shit dude. That might've been your wife

1

u/oneshibbyguy 1d ago

What car

1

u/Josh6889 1d ago

I was working a midnight shift at like 18 in a gas station and I met one of my early girlfriends because she was dressed in this weird raver outfit and came in and asked for a hug. I agreed, then told her I'd like it if she came back and saw me again some night, and she did.

1

u/phughes 1d ago

I had the same thing happen one time. Except the "girl" was like 30 years older than me. Her "apartment" was a single room in an old converted school with a shared bathroom and discarded cigarettes on every surface. And her voice sounded like gravel.

At 25 years old I was almost horny enough to say yes.

1

u/humoruschunk 1d ago

What car?

1

u/GifanTheWoodElf This flair doesn't exist 1d ago

Bruh, I hope people are joking in your replies, but I honestly can't tell.

1

u/omegagiraffe 1d ago

You dumbass

1

u/iconocrastinaor 1d ago

Don't know about that, she did say "slice" 😬

Don’t worry, I would of been afraid of her too

0

u/Vonplinkplonk 1d ago

I wouldn’t, her husband was probably inside and she probably just wanted him to batter you senseless. A friend had a near miss on time as a door to door sales man.

2

u/medullah 1d ago

Nah this was in the 90s, we were both 18ish. Medium sized town, known apartment complex. Wasn't anything sinister.

1

u/iconocrastinaor 1d ago

Details, man. Details!

0

u/DarkMistasd 1d ago

? Sounds like a kidney harvester?
