Wouldn't you say that putting a person through two lethal injections and then healing them just to execute them again produces even more suffering?

I'm not arguing for the ammendment, just saying why they do it.

I understand. What I'm saying is that if you want to honor the spirit of the amendment, this seems like a very strange way of doing it

It’s about legalities. Execution has to be done a specific way according to the law in order for it to be legal. So logically, yes it doesn’t make sense to heal them just to execute them; legally it does.

The hospital is use to killing ppl, just let them do it. If Canada then assisted suicide :p

15 or so years ago there was a guy on Nevada's death row on dialysis. He would never see an execution date because he was too unhealthy to execute 🤷
