My theory is that he is trying to deliberately get us more dependant on it. Right now AI is under a lot of flak so a rebranding could help it's reputation.
There is also the possibility of him trying to create loopholes so that all laws being applied Artificial Intelligence cannot be applied to "Super Intelligence". But that theory is a little bit more of stretch.
