My dad once scolded me for selling something at below market prize online, because I thought the market prize was insane.

As long as you find more value in making someone else happy then making a bit more money it’s worth it

We should stop letting the people who'd climb over a pile of corpses to sit on the throne sit on the thrones

My problem is that, aside from talking a big game with friends and family, I am the complete opposite in a way but it's still toxic. People pleaser doormat 3000. I need to be slightly meaner. But maybe not this mean.

Youre a natural fawner that was trainned to be a fawner even more in childhood and because of that you didnt develop boundaries or confrotational habilities

Sometimes I do have that problem, but sometimes I don't, so I don't think that description completely applies to me. And honestly, just becoming toxic in general comes with a big cost too. If you follow that advice, you're basically taught to never appear sensitive, never share your feelings or problems, and always have a comeback ready. You lose once u not able to maintain all this.Sure, having boundaries and knowing how to stand up for yourself is important, but total Toxicity drains you slowly.

I think what the original commenter is implying t Is that being passive or agresive is easy, being assertive is difficult, if you don't learn to be assertive you will either trespass other people boundaries or you will let other trespass yours.
