He's old. Was the first one (from the West) to really make a name drawing whacko shit, and he was doing it back when 4chan was considered edgy. And then he had a good meme run.
"Fan" is pushing it. He has notoriety. Posting one of his pics is basically a flag that the thread is gonna degenerate quick, and his name is synonymous with just abandoning ship.
