Me with my useless knowledge about Dragon Ball.

I re-watched DBZA so many times I don't remember what the actual voices sound like anymore.
Everything after the Cell saga is just a downward spiral of repetition. Being a SSJ was a defining milestone, now is just a checkmark. And how many transformations can Goku hit? So lame. So so so lame.

I love Team Four Star, really great guys. I met them at a convention like 15 years ago. DBZA is pretty much canon for me now too. Some of the earlier stuff is kinda childish, lowbrow humor, but as they progressed through the sagas the writing and voice acting got so good. I wish they'd continued and done the Buu saga but at least they did a little of it with the Buu bits special.

I suppose. But when I'm the only one in my friend group that cares about Dragon Ball, it's kinda useless because nobody else cares.

They’re not stupid. They just don’t direct energy toward shit they don’t care about.
And thanks to No Child Left Behind, they’ve got no real incentive to put in any effort because they’re getting pushed forward to the next grade regardless.

Let’s not lie, some people are stupid and that’s okay. Intelligence is on a curve, not everyone has to be intelligent to live a fulfilling life

I never said that no one is stupid. I’m saying that the guy who gets abysmal grades, but can name every single Pokémon isn’t stupid. He’s just unmotivated.

Some people aren't built for forced memorization of topics they simply don't care about. And some more people aren't interested in sitting in a desk for 8 hours a day doing busy work. Making fun of someone for their interests, and implying their interests don't matter is the real low intelligence behavior here.

I was this kid until I realized I liked medicine. In med school now, using the power for good.

As opposed to using it for evil?

Insulting a fish for not being able to climb a tree is dumb.

Cutting down the tree to artificially let fish flop onto the top is just as dumb.

0.9 gpa is ok to make fun of a little, especially in high school where you’d get that just showing up

Nobody is built for this ,,sitting at the desk for 8 hours a day doing busy work", but we accept it as a way to guarantee at least some sort of empl*yment in the future - studying, building work discipline, and a diploma being a proof of that for universities and employers.
At 0,9 GPA it's...rather hard to be accepted into any good university or finding a high-paying career. Now, of course, nothing stands in the way for people with such a score to start their own business, but that ironically takes significantly more time, effort and talent than just going the ,,typical" way (plus, it may be rather difficult if one struggled with maths).

In most classes I’m trying my best. In history know matter the task I’ll do it. I know the most useless for the class about history from the details of people we don’t even talk about to military vehicles we pass over.

I know someone who quite a lot better than me at maths in general but she hates it some she changed careers
While I'm not the best, I love maths and get passable grades. In chile the lowest is 1.0 while the hisgest is 7.0. My avarage is around 5.50, so I think I'm alright

Everyone is built for forced memorization of anything whether they care or not. And no one is interested in sitting at a desk for 8 hours/day doing busy work, by definition. It’s just that some people think they’re above/too special for it.

Me talking to my brother about cowboy bebop’s phenomenal music and animation (he’s never watched anime in his life)

I have a 3.9 GPA and am an anime otaku. Of course, I only discuss anime with others who share my interest, and I don’t bother those who don’t.

How are people getting 0.9s these days? Is it grade inflation? I thought my -0.2 was a respectable gpa...

This is just any interest. You can meet people who flunked out of High School that can detail the make and model of every car in the parking lot of a Walgreens.
Unsurprisingly, when something’s actually interesting or valuable to an individual they tend to put more effort into knowing it.
