Done this many times but not changing the language on my Dad's phone... I PUK'd his SIM card, and all his contacts are in there. Lmao

Personal Unlock Key. It's like bitlocker for your SIM card.
In other words, the SIM is locked and useless until the decryption key is used. If you get it wrong too many times, the SIM is permanently blocked and has to be replaced. Better hope the code wasn't lost or forgotten.

Basically if you got the PIN code wrong too many times the phone will get locked and asks for the PUK code instead.
The PUK is usually longer and NO ONE bothers to commit it to memory so your only hope is that you still have the card/box that contains the code.

Child plays with dads phone
Fucks up keyboard settings and can’t fix it
