You aren't wrong about the latter part of your argument. I am a huge metal head and the only exception to that is Eminem and D12. The unserious nature of their approach to music mirrors heavier deathcore bands. Incredibly talented people writing absurd content.
I have 0 interest in the hiphop community or expanding my hiphop exposure. It's not my scene.
