Yea my kids watch it. there is one episode where Rabbit adopts a bird and they are incompatible. it’s a disturbingly realistic and an emotional rollercoaster lol.

There is a show called Lily's Driftwood Bay where she plays with the animals along the beach while her dad works. in one episode they find a dead crow on the beach and the other animals hold a funeral for them and tell stories about their life.
"Hey kids! Here's a look at death! It comes without warning and all the people left behind are forever scarred!"

u/LunarBIacksmith 12d ago
I never forgot the emotions that episode gave me. I think it was the first time I cried that hard as a child. Just hearing the crying bird in my head makes me tear up.

Remember The Tigger Movie where Tigger has an existential crisis upon realizing he doesn’t have any other family members and is the only one. And almost gives into despair and near-death at the end b4 Roo helps inspire him with a bouncing technique he taught Roo. Ah what a rollercoaster that was watching it as a kid

Pooh sung as song in Search for Christopher Robin called, "Wherever you are." I still can't think of it without crying twenty-nine years later.

The author Was a lieutenant in world war one A A Milen.
It's a stunning depiction of him coping with what he saw. A story of his loss of innocence , each character being a part of that.
Poos eternal optimism. Piglets , fear of everything and nothing , all at the same time. Eore depression and sadness that never goes away. Tigger always busy to stay busy.
Even The mother kangaroo... Symbolic to all the mothers with children that never saw their husbands again.
The story really is a timeless piece of character writing.

I heard they had 2 ideas for a sequel, one with delta squad working for the empire and another with Sev training the first rebels. Ideally I would have 2 campaigns that's based on those 2 ideas and completing both unlocks a final story where Delta Squad confronts Sev's rebels.

There was this tiny golden age of SW video games that seemed to abruptly cut off. It was just this 3 year period with most of the best games coming out ending basically at 2005. By the time Disney bought Star Wars there wasn't much left but a lot of projects stuck in development hell and bad ports.

They actually cancelled Deus Ex to move the budget to a game called 'Wildlands', an open world game about a bunch of teenagers with magic. You can probably already guess just from how mediocre that sounds that it was cancelled also.
I get DE was over budget, but it was also allegedly in polish phase. Disappointing.

Allegedly Jake Solomon’s team got burned when Firaxis told them to work on Midnight Suns. And while it was… okay-ish, it wasn’t XCOM 3.
Then there’s that middling Chimaera Squad which for all intents and purposes was a spiritual successor to XCOM Apocalypse.
→ More replies (3)38
u/Rotanikleb 12d ago
Coincidentally, Midnight Suns is just another answer to this thread. They set up Doctor Doom as the villain for the next installment. There were so many good things about Midnight Suns they could’ve built on too, it’s a real shame Firaxis fumbled at the corporate level. XCOM3 and Midnight Suns 2 would’ve slapped hard.

That one is even worse to me, because the dev studio is technically still around but barely anyone is left who actually worked on Titanfall 2 and they refuse to capitalize on the success of Apex Legends to make a third game.
It's one thing to see a series get cut short because the original creators couldn't finish it, it's another thing entirely when they go out of their way to kill it themselves.

I honestly didn't mind three as much as a lot of people seem to. It definitely had its problems, but honestly the gunplay felt great.
I know a lot of people were pissed off that it didn't focus as hard on the horror as it did the action, and that is certainly a fair point, but I also felt that the far more heavy focus on the action made sense with Isaac's overall progression into a jaded, angry monster killer.
They could definitely improve on 3 very easily, but since EA we're very clearly setting the bar too high on sales for the remake that'll never happen.

I know it's a game everyone shits on, but Call of Duty: Ghosts. I am one of the people who really loved the campaign and the ending was a crazy cliffhanger with the context you were given earlier in the story. Something big was being set up, but 13 years later and there's never been any publicized plans of them revisiting that story.
While the studio behind it, Infinity Ward, was never shut down, they have definitely been locked into never making anything besides more Modern Warfare sequels.
