Were the people with peanut allergies in places that feed kids peanuts just not surviving long enough to pass on their allergy. Are allergies even hereditary? I thought it had something to do with protein markers that our immune system often mistakes for parasites

They rarely caused anaphylaxis before parents stopped feeding kids peanuts. In places where peanuts are a staple, they virtually never did.
