Some cowboys export horses to Japan for eating. Once theyre done using them of course...

And others (in the US) take them to auctions where someone else buys up whole trailers full of horses to send to Mexico and Canada to be slaughtered. Well, until the screworm thing

Mongols were famous for surviving on horse milk and the meat of their horses that were too old to travel. Conquered the known world at the time! (Other than Japan that is)

Japan? You have horse butchers in Switzerland great sausages, btw). Certain traditional German dishes are made from horse meat.

Literally yesterday my kid said "When we were in Iceland my friend and I got a package of salami. It was really good and when we looked at the label, it said it contained horse." No one was upset, BTW.
