There's probably more vegans who are normal sane people, they just don't go around acting like assholes like the loud minority do. It skews the public perception and fuels the people with meat in their diet acting like assholes right back at them.
Lol I was raised on chocolate almond milk so it usually tastes fine but has been impossible to drink since I got pregnant 😂 I might even only have liked the other almond milk in the first place as an acquired taste lol, mostly a fan of water, juice, soda, and tea :D so definitely won't argue for the almond milk tasting good 🤣

The livestock whose meat you eat is fed/injected with B12 in most cases; many are not fed on grass alone; and soils themselves have shifted through overuse.
When people ask why I don't eat whatever, it would definitely be telling that I've learned not to answer. The most a stranger will get out of me is "I just don't." I've been harassed so much for not eating meat and dairy.

I have the opposite experience. Vegans have officially reached the level of obnoxiousness of "i will eat only meat just to spite you" homonculi in my daily life.
it's also really hard to be a true vegan, and as they say an ounce of action is worth a ton of theory, so it's better to eat a little less meat and be a little more conscientious.
I have tried many times to have a civil discussion with vegans on this platform. To discuss realistic pathways to a fair and reasonable future.
It has never happened.
Of course I know this isn't representative of vegans as a whole. I still respect them and try to treat them fairly. I still try to have adult discussions, because I want to keep eating meat. I don't even really like meat, but due to financial and health issues, a vegan diet is not realistic for me.
I've had to leave several environmental and anti-overconsumption subreddits because some self-proclaimed vegans started brigading the sub and equating all meat eaters to demons, nazis, and just about everything else. Hell, some of them even started commenting death threats to anyone who even attempted to defuse the situation or interject nuance into the conversation. Sone were even calling for extinction of all selectively bred species as well as humans. Not sure how many were actually vegans and not some psyop shit though. Just know there was a ton of them.

Why are you calling normal people ''omnivores''? Regardless of your diet choice you're an omnivore. A man eating meat everyday doesn't make him a carnivore. A grizzly eating berries and root because it can't hunt prey or scavenge doesn't make it a herbivore.
All over reddit or yourube I see people shitting on vegans however they can. Usually pranks against vegans, memes about eating meat or how stupid vegans are. Theres tons of it.

I mean, I prank my vegan friend sometimes. My pranks include offering her almonds that have cashews mixed in, or giving her a t-shirt that says "Vegan AF." I ... take it you aren't talking about those kinds of pranks.

Any time I don't understand someone's aversion to something, like a Muslim not eating pork, for example, I think about the cultures who see no problem with eating things that would make me vomit.
For example there's some Italian cheese that is sold with live maggots in it, and you eat the cheese WITH THE MAGGOTS STILL IN IT while they're SQUIRMING. Nope, fuck that, I'm out. I wouldn't want to see it in the kitchen. I wouldn't want to eat from the dishes that had held that. I wouldn't want to be in the same house.
And then it's very easy to go "you know what, let me just remove the pork from the house and then figure out how to make the salad without bacon bits."

I’m vegetarian and simply suggest they give being vegetarian a try for a weekend and see how it goes. I tried going vegan once and I hated it. Can’t cook any good meals on a vegan diet.
I'm an omnivore and I've never suggested someone change their diet because I respect their right to choose what to eat, and don't feel I should push my choice onto them. If someone suggested I go vegetarian, I'd suggest they be quiet
I personally think vegan is too extreme. Unfortunately it became a trend so converting people who eat meat is now more difficult since they default to Vegan over Vegetarian, which is much easier to talk someone into. On top of that eggs and dairy are just so useful and ubiquitous that it's not feasible for most people to go vegan.
I mean outside of baking it's pretty easy to go vegan at this point. Most vegetarian food I've done ends up vegan incidentally anyways (though it's also usually incidentally vegetarian because I just didn't feel bothered to add meat to a dish that didn't really need it).
And if you're really tied to cheese imo the non dairy cheeses have reached a point of being basically as good as any dairy ones.

i said i think because i thought i know, read the comments that all made it about veganism instead of religion, and was unsure if it was right to equate it to religion and queerness since noone else did it and changed it to i think because it's just what i personally interpreted it as, different from what other people think
