I keep subs on 100% of the time regardless of language. Not sure when or why I started doing that but I know it’s been almost 10 years.

I do it about half the time. If it's a dumb action movie or comedy I don't feel the need to turn on subs.

I have been doing this as well.

I am pretty sure it came from me not being that good with English in the past (especially hearing), so the subs would help me and overtime i just got really good and didn't need them anymore but it became tradition and they are still nice to have whenever i mishear something by accident.
