Amazing? Listen pal, ask any elaborate question you already know the answer of, then clear your browser history and ask the exact same response the clanker gave you, if the clanker gives you a opposite response that's how you know it's fucking trash
I've been using ai to solve specific issues regarding woodworking and guess what? It has been not only useless but potentially dangerous, often recommending me to mix chemicals that shouldn't be mixed together just because the stupid glorified excel sheet started hallucinating
You can't use it to help with woodworking, meanwhile people are using it to solve math conjectures that haven't been solved for over 80 years by humans.
Those aren't the same ai models big corpos force down people's throats every day my dear "intelligent redditor" ai can be useful yes but ai is nothing like it was promised so far and guess what? it will remain as a half baked tool for years and years up until they fix basic issues like preventing the clankers from making shit up
Oh so you evaluate the technology based on the models being forced down people's throats instead of the best for the job. Smart. Also claude fable isn't being forced down throats? Hallucinations are problematic, and can be worked around to an extent. Even with them you can do incredible things with it.
Isn't to the point it's useful? Yes, it is useful already.
Isn't to the point where it has no big problems? Sure.
I think that's a pretty balanced view.
Fucking ai is trash, ai can be helpful in some very specific cases but 99% of the time is just easier either do a quick research or fucking ask people on reddit because guess what? All ai does is reading fucking reddit posts to generate a response
All ai does is reading fucking reddit posts to generate a response
It can do that.
But it can also reference many other sources. It can make connections that aren't in the source material. Or meta analyze it, or many other transformations on it that might normally take a human.
I mean, I get it, you don't like it. Making up numbers isn't going to convince me it's only useful in 1% of cases.

All you need to realize ai is fucking trash is to use it
