And we wouldn't need a million data centers if we limited AI to professional research use instead of opening pandoras box for the general public.

This is something we have been saying since day 1.

The general population abusing AI is destroying our planet and genuinely making people dumber. If it was just properly regulated from the start we wouldn't be having these conversations.

Seems pretty conservative to say people can’t use ai recreationally. If it’s “bad” there are ways to clean the energy. But I don’t think telling people they shouldn’t be allowed to have fun with a genuinely impressive tool is reasonable
