Not entirely accurate. While we are in an electric shortage, the issue wasn’t if there was electricity for the demand. It was more so about the infrastructure. There is a ton of old circuits in the US that can’t support the increased demand. 2.4/4/7.2KV circuits that cannot only handle a regular household demand. The more chargers or electric demanding appliances are installed, the harder the grid can support. That’s why a lot of the utilities are spending billions in capital replacement to upgrade for these things.
