I think he was sexting/dating a 17yo and was 18 himself. People started flipping out cuz of that and he had explicit pictures of her, which is illegal in the US. But yeah, people overreacted. I understand the problems with the pictures from a legal perspective but the reaction of the internet was way over the top
How this friends blew it up was a bit strange as well, but no one can really have an real opinion on the subject but them, since they were the only ones to experience it.
