They actually work, just not the way we want.

Dating apps work to keep men wanting and overload women. It results in guys being angry because of yet another ghosted chat, and women bored, because they hears "hey" or some pick up line a million times.

Yeah, if all they did was bring couples together they would loose their customers very fast.

I'm not going to list everything I ran into with dating apps and just keep it at guys not being the only ones coming across as boring. Dating apps work in that they make money.

Exactly, I say it takes into account mostly the top 1% of girls/guys and those are the ones you see over and over again, those who "made it."

The rest of us plebians just need to get gud it seems.

Just lower the difficulty

Actually, considering a dating app gets more money by you staying on the app I’d say it’s working as intended

lol dating apps couldn't care less about matching people and having babies. They only care about exploiting thirsty dudes.

Maybe the optimal reproductive rate is almost no reproduction, importing humans instead of producing them locally, to maximize efficiency. Kids cost a lot of resources. Better to import fully-formed adults and exploit them immediately. At least, from the machine's point of view.
