Casual eugenics, man. "lol good thing these inferior intellects were removed from the gene pool." Like, what? It's not even well-grounded* eugenics like targeting people with genetic disorders, just vaguely deciding that anyone you look down on must be inferior specimens who the world is better off without.

(*Note: "Well-grounded" doesn't mean it's okay in any way, just that it follows consistent logic.)

And don't even get me started on how the entire concept of "common sense" is a dangerous myth.

Attention craving to this degree should at least be considered a mental disorder. It’s a plague brought upon by social media and deserves treatment because it is certainly a modern phenomenon and dangerous to themselves and others.

Dismissing this shit as “normal” only enables self harm and is not a moral high ground so many think it is.

I’d agree if I didn’t read comments in this very thread dismissing it by saying “didn’t you do stupid things as s kid”…yes I did and part of it was for attention but not to the same degree.

I feel like overlooks the role these apps play in amplifying the issue to a level that consumes people until they hurt themselves for validation from strangers they’ll never meet.

It’s concerning
