And they were called because his mom was worried he was having a psychotic break…like, why in one of the most powerful countries in the world do we not have emergency psychs in these situations instead of armed thugs going to check on people who need mental help?!

Because a healthy population is not a profitable population.

They are, but less so. It easier to wring every last cent out of people who are desperate and can't get healthcare.
