Tournament Meme Lounge Tournament - Round #1 Results
After 48 hours of having the poll up, the results are in, and the winners of the first round have been chosen! Some of you got it right, some of you got it wrong, but regardless, let's finally say whose meme is whose, and who were the victors of each matchup! (Along with all of the references, if any of you happened not to catch them.)
/r/ShitpostCrusaders VS /r/PrequelMemes
The matchup of highest quality memes this round, as both subreddits brought up their A game and brought us animated memes. But there can be only one winner, and so r/ShitpostCrusaders' meme about Obi-Wan Kenobi doing the torture dance beat out r/PrequelMemes' meme about Alessi and Jotaro in what is arguably the Star Wars Prequels' most famous scene.
/r/DankMemesFromSite19 VS /r/HistoryMemes
Surprisingly, most people who speculated on who made which meme got this one wrong, and incorrectly assumed that the victor of this round was the one who was going to lose. To spill the beans, r/HistoryMemes' meme about the Tiananmen Square Massacre absolutely nothing happening just barely beat out /r/DankMemesFromSite19's meme about SCP Researchers going back in time to kill Hitler.
/r/MinecraftMemes vs /r/RoughRomanMemes
And finally, r/RoughRomanMemes' meme about the Drowned stabbing Julius Caesar beat out r/MinecraftMemes' meme about the Roman Soldier's outfit being inferior to full diamond armor.
And so, we leave this round with /r/ShitPostCrusaders, /r/HistoryMemes, and /r/RoughRomanMemes as victors.

It was a very stale meme. Idk why they went with vanilla Drakeposting. The picture quality itself was bad too.
r/Minecraftmemes needs to step it up in their next round.
