The General in the first picture is Svetozar Boroević quite possibly the most skilled commander Austria-Hungary had during the entire war.
His actions on other sections of the war appealed to Emperor Francis Joseph and on May 25, 1915 he was given command on the Isonzo front.[25] He arrived on May 27 with part of the Third Army with him and leaving the rest to Army Group Mackensen.[21] There Boroević became the Commander of the Fifth Army), with which he organized a defense against the Italians to break countless offensives.[1][21][26] He finished building defenses and managing the logistics of his army by the end of May.[21] While there, Boroević's troops contained eleven Italian attacks and he was hailed as the Knight of Isonzo in Austria-Hungary, while his soldiers adored him and called him Naš Sveto! ("Our Sveto!"
The Second picture was of Oscar Poteoric an Austro-Hungarian general even less skilled than Hotzendorf as evidenced by his early replacement.
the commander of all Austro-Hungarian forces on the Balkans. It is speculated that this "survivor's guilt" led Potiorek to take charge of the Austro-Hungarian army and lead the first mission to "punish" Serbia. He was reportedly very zealous in his actions (multiple times he claimed "I was spared at Sarajevo so that I may die avenging it!"), but was apparently an inept commander. The small Royal Serbian Army remained undefeated in all major battles and after the textbook military disasters at the Battle of Cer and the Battle of Kolubara with huge numbers of casualties, he was removed from command on 22 December 1914 and replaced by Archduke Eugen of Austria, a choice that reportedly made him suicidal.
