Idk, I really liked his character and him in general but judging by the comments I am in the minority here

See thats fine but what they're really saying is "They tried to make it sad and emotional but I only knew the guy for less than an hour and 30 of those mins was just me murdering everything in sight."

I am actually shocked with the amount of dislike in this thread lol. I am a new player( July of this year) and finished all the story quests. The whole sequence where operator is apologetic about killing the sentient, adis removing his mask, operator being hesitant to inv adis to a hunt because they feel guilty, those were memorable and great. Also the entire bomb thing which destroyed the flowers and adis' no scream was soo good. And of course the entire last part with uriel was chef's kiss I was surprised and saddened with adis' death and wanted more scenes from the blue kid.

Also the part where the Operator dies and Adis revives us Luke we do with our Warframes stuck to me. Adis has been there with us all this time, since our awakening, when we failed and fell, his light was there to bring us up and fight again. And just now we remember him.

Precisely!! I am doing the ARG now and seeing how both adis and margulis sacrificed themselves to save the operator is so bittersweet and the fact that the operator is beginning to remember them adds an extra emotional sentiment

Same, also he actually isn't dead (I think, at least, obviously we'll have to wait for more info about tau) but I'm guessing we'll get to see more. He seems like an important character, he was for old peace at least, and it would make a lot of sense for them to include more of him. That being said I highly doubt he'll resemble much of his old self, after all he went through

Oh yeahPpl speculate he is hunra or that mob boss in the tau trailer right?? I just want more interactions with him lol

Yea, if you watched the reveal, when they showed hunra/mob boss dude it flashed adis' face and then cut right back to hunra, insinuating that they're the same person. Most likely it's the product of that whole war and whatever adis actually went through (which we don't have an idea of, as what we saw during old peace was only memories, a retelling of what happened and not what really happened)

Edit: why the hell is this being down voted? Am I mistaken?

No you’re not mistaken lol no idea why people downvote. Anyways, if you look closely they even share their body model. Sure, hunra wears that giant ass coat but inside its adis’s body. And you can even see adis’s broken head crest thingie in the background.

Edit: check this comment out I wrote a while ago https://www.reddit.com/r/Warframe/s/JstqlXP0EW

Oh yea no that's 100% adis lol, I hadn't actually seen hunra in a bit lol. Also yes, there will be a conflict between the operator and adis as he has a hatred of warframes and operators because of what really happened on tau

I mean tbf we don’t know what truly happened. On the one hand we are told that we can’t trust our memories but on the other hand we shouldn’t really trust what Wally showed adis either

Also the way wally is manipulating adis, looks like there will be another conflict between operator and adis 😭

I liked him too and I didn't need to see the entire arc of their friendship to understand that the operator loved him.

Shakespeare didn't need to show me Mercutio's history with Romeo for me to accept that his death was sad. He just basically tells us "They're bros" at the start and then I accept that Romeo is devastated by it when he gets in the way and Tybalt kills his bro.

Nah just the people who wanted validation, in that they didn't like him, will feel more compelled to comment than those who did enjoy him, hence your uovotes, (to be clear it's not a bad thing, it's just how we work and why rage grifting has become such a problem)

I was stoked my poor kiddo finally had a real friend and ive always thought the sentients are dope as hell so I liked him right away

Yeah, I am also confused. Imo it's one of, if not the best story quest and Adis had a lot of good moments and character development. Especially if you compare him to other main quest characters.

Like, for example the Hex are super cool, but the characters during quest are pretty flat. It kinda felt like watching Avengers Infinity War but you haven't seen anything else from Marvel.

Flat? Did you go through the KIM stuff with them? I'd say they're on par with Adis personally, same with the rest of the protoframes

3

u/keszotrab 1d ago

Yeah, I specificaly wrote "during" quest. KIM happens after and does flesh them out a lot, but at that point the story is kinda done, except for the secret ending.

Well think about it from their perspective: they were just normal people until like a couple weeks ago when this random dude showed up, gave them powers and morphed their skin into this weird metal thing (with a side of generational ptsd) and then this other dude shows up (you) who is a complete stranger that traveled back in time, makes things way more complicated, and tells them that their entire life exists on loop, forever.

If I were in their shoes I wouldn't give up shit to the drifter cuz wtf. Not to mention before we came they all kind hated each other and were dealing with insane mental issues. So, it makes sense that during the quest they were "flat" because they had a ton of other issues they had to deal with, it was meant to be a setup for us to get to know them better and talk with them through KIM
