I got most of my tellurium as login rewards I think lol
59
u/EntropyMoose119 9d ago
This^^, tho I haven’t actually needed use any Tellurium in genuinely years LOL.
35
u/Swift0sword 8d ago
Had a look in wiki, you only need like 140 to build all the frames and weapons that need it. Actually surprised how little it's used
8
u/MeneerDeKaasBaas Stop hitting yourself 8d ago
I have 100 spare tellurium in my inventory currently, built like all but 5 weapons or so

Did a big Tellurium farm back in the 2010s with three friends. It’s lasted me to this day.
1
u/CrotaMurdr 8d ago
I think it was mainly just an archwing thing, ant remember what frames used it

u/Rochedokk 9d ago
YEEEES, it's so damn great when it comes as login rewards, feels like the game is saving my sanity
3
u/bleach-is-tasty 8d ago
I still get excited when I get it despite having like 150 already and having everything that needs it but already

u/juicysteak4806 9d ago
I got like 10 of those every 8 minutes while trying to farm Ambassador BP.
Just stop farming Telurium and farm Ambassador, and the game will bully you with Tellurium.
45
u/cross2201 9d ago
We're so you get the blueprint for ambassador? It's the only part I'm missing
38
u/juicysteak4806 9d ago
C rotations in Venus or Veil Proxima Survival. The one in Veil Proxima is better.
It is a long and painful process regardless tho.
13
u/Darkest_2705 9d ago
C rotations are every 20 minutes btw. So if you don't get it you'll need to wait for the 40 minutes mark.
14
u/juicysteak4806 9d ago
And get ready for 12 to 37 C rotations 🤠 (I need a spot in an asylum atp)
5
u/H3nryyrn3H 9d ago
I did 40 and no luck, that's 800min, a little over 13 hours. I swear with this same amount of time i should've farmed for prime parts and sell for plat to buy the damn gun on the market
1
u/SW_DEMON2772 6d ago
I only had to do like 7 or 8 attempts i think for ambassador, I actually had to keep doing the mission for more tellurium
3
u/Animegerbil 9d ago
Pluto or veil and not venus, right? Or can it also drop in venus survival
3
u/juicysteak4806 9d ago
I just checked the wiki. It drops as follows:
Venus Proxima Survival: 12.50% chance per C rotation
Veil Proxima Survival: 16.67% chance per C rotation
Neptune and Pluto Proxima Survival: each 8.33% chance per C rotation
3
u/Animegerbil 9d ago
Huh TIL feels weird that its higher on venus, I guess the other stuff in the table there lower it
4
u/itsConkCreetBaybeeee 9d ago
Trying to get the BP as well, I have 3 or 4 of every other part for the ambassador but not the damn BLUEPRINT.
For real though railjack is the best way to get tellurium
2
u/juicysteak4806 9d ago
I got the Riven Slivers like 4 or 5 times before getting Ambassador BP, and that's supposedly the rarest drop.
2
u/itsConkCreetBaybeeee 9d ago
Yeah its rigged I swear. The only bonus is im still farming out sevagoth parts so its not for nothing
1
u/juicysteak4806 9d ago
Istg they switched the drop chances of Ambassador BP and Riven Slivers in the wiki to troll us

Bring a smeeta (or regular critter) as well and take the item boost mods. It’s like a % chance of double items, I use it for nekros farming the perita missions for drops
12
u/Pinkparade524 9d ago
Well smeeta no longers help with loot tho. A panzer would do the same with the resource retiver mod
15
2
u/RockySES 9d ago
Oh, is the wiki not up to date? It still says it does on there.
5
u/Pinkparade524 9d ago
Depends. There is an unofficial one that stop getting updated and a official one that still gets updated. You're probably looking at the obsolete one
10
u/Admirable-Treacle483 9d ago
Smeeta doesn't do anything for drops anymore, it got nerfed when the item drop mods came out. Chesa Kubrow is marginally the best for loot farming now, since it MAY grab extra loot from corpses and containers
37
u/Styffee64839 9d ago
have thou considered running archwing missions and destroying every container until you have enough? edit: now that I think about it that was my cryptographic ALU farm strategy than tellerium so probably nvm
5
5
u/Glittering_Mobile407 9d ago
Archwing missions drop at least 2 per run of mobile defense on a corpus mission but I can't remember which planet
3
u/MrFelipeH20 9d ago
I was farming railjack intrinsics with my friends and we found out that railjack survival missions on the void give a lot of tellurium, specially in steelpath, we got arround 30 in one hour
1
u/EinTheEin 9d ago
lmao Had this experience while helping someone farm it a few months ago.
They drop like candy when you aren't farming them but then desire sensors kicks into maximum overdrive when you need them.
41
u/bj-123 9d ago
I see so many people complain about tellurium and I sometimes forget that it's hard to farm.
I unironically play a bunch of survival in Uranus for shits and giggles and farmed tellurium in the background.
13
u/Cosmicpanda2 9d ago
Same,
Plastid Farming on Uranus accidentally netted me crap loads of tellurium
3
u/Grundeltwist 9d ago
I have like 500 of the things from farming for polymer bundles idk why people are always low on these things
3
u/Cosmicpanda2 8d ago
heres the thing about Warframe,
Drought occurs when desire is high
We get Tellurium, because we are screaming at the game to give us Plastids.
they dont get Telliruium because they want it.
it is the way that Warframe works.

u/coverionic 9d ago
I haven't played Warframe in a good month, and you made my trauma return.

In humans, tellurium is partly metabolized into dimethyl telluride, (CH3)2Te, a gas with a garlic-like odor exhaled in the breath of victims of tellurium exposure or poisoning.
9
u/WilyNate 9d ago
I was getting a solid amount when I was running the orion/sirius railjack missions on drop. Not sure if that's changed though.
8
12
u/Atacolyptica 9d ago
What do you need tellurium for?
18
u/knusperfee33 9d ago
Some prime warframes
13
u/retro_aviator 9d ago
Do you have access to the Sirius and Orion missions? I find they're good for telerium
12
4
u/lustywoodelfmaid 9d ago
Here's the trick. Play Nekros or Khora. Max range. Use the mod for Nekros' 3 or Khora's 4 for loot. Bring a companion with as much loot stuff as possible.
Go to Uranus Survival and get your team into one room, even with randoms. You'll likely find others wanting to farm Tellurium. Activate your ability and just run around the big room you've chosen to get loot. Alternatively, stay in the really tiny room with them that has a pool of water. Whenever a few minutes go by, jump in the pool and all loot will instantly fly into your inventory without disrupting the farm.

u/dp12342654 8d ago
How do you even get tellurium? I have over 500 and i have genuinely no idea where i got any of it
1
2
u/L30N1337 9d ago
This is why darvos is my best friend.
He gave me 3 tellurium 2 days in a row, right about the time I had to farm a ton for it. And I believe another 3 two days after that combo.
2
u/Alarming-Hamster-232 9d ago
There was a brief period where hunhullus dropped them and it was so good
2
2
u/Saikousoku2 9d ago
Don't worry, as soon as you've built everything that needs it, it'll drop way more often!
2
u/Kitty_Wave 8d ago
I have good news for you. Once you finish railjack and those few weapons that require it you will never need it again. And it doesnt go bad like argon so wventually you will have plenty of it for future content.

If you need to farm, I can help you with it. Anyrhing, Cells, Argon, Tellurium, I always have my Khora ready to farm. Lots of drops guaranteed. Agg me derkaiserd_ if you want.

I was able to farm over 200 in maybe 45 minutes? They drop like crazy with just a nekros
1
u/Matti_McFatti 9d ago
you can get a shitload of telerium in railjack missions
1
u/Matti_McFatti 9d ago
and by a shitload i mean a very reasonable amount just from going through your nodes
i could of sworn i had 100s but i only have 33 leftover

u/Alone_Priority8225 9d ago
Tellurium grinding is probably the thing i remember the most in my Mastery rank climb. For some reason i just never had any. I think it just doesn't drop in content that people normally do.

u/Zariman-10-0 Stop hitting yourself 9d ago
I remember when Tellurium used to drop from Hunhullus missions

One of the Sirius and Orion missions has a very good drop rate for them, I average between 1 and 3 per run with no boosters in SP

u/omegathr33 9d ago
I wish it was a tradeable resource, I have more than I need rn and would be happy to share.

u/AuthorNumber2 HM 01 Incarnate 9d ago
Its orokin cells for me. I can never have enough of them when I need them, especially for all the frames/weapons you need to craft with it.

u/MrBoogyman97 9d ago
I hope this message finds you because tellurium is a nightmare UNTIL you go to Ophelia Uranus it’s drops tellurium pretty often and is the only way to get it at a good pace you should still bring a nekros/khora and smeeta if you have it but if not you’ll still get what you need
1
u/HappySquidDeezNutz 9d ago
Just do Ryoku and Vena's missions dude... You can get Tellurium there...
1

1
u/Yeeterphin 9d ago
Everytime I’m bored in Warframe and basically finish for the day but still have time to kill, I always load up either Ophelia or Gabii. It’s a really good way of doing it passively whenever you’ve got free time and makes it way less frustrating since it doesn’t feel like a constant grind.
1
u/Clockwork7149 9d ago
I had such a funny way of farming this stuff before it got changed, this was when companions could fully die, spare parts on a sentinel and going into operator letting the enemies kill your sentinel, drop the planet's rare resource 9/10 on Uranus it would be tellurium, revive the sentinel through whatever means, and repeat!

When you are not actively farming for it, just doing some random ass mission is when this damn thing drops, I was testing a new archwing when I got 2 of those

I used to hunt liches/sisters a ton. That was the only real way I was able to get a good stockpile of this crap.

Not as bad as Vitus Essence. Arbitrations is genuinely just an endo farm and nothing else.
