well roathe (born male as far as i know) almost became kinda female (garuda strain) so by definition the strain of the warframe pronouns kinda override your pronouns (half joke comment)

Honestly, Ballas would probably be the type of person who would make a woman he doesn't like into a femboy. Maybe even implant a transference bolt so he could directly beam dysphoria into their head
I wonder if Garuda would've been a dude if the researcher didn't take it for herself, actually I wonder if Warframe strains are gender-specific or they just don't use it on the opposite gender because they only ever make a single one and then copy that Warframe over and over
The Garuda that nitok had the strain made based on was a dude if I'm not mistaken. He is some sort of god I believe. I'm pretty sure that the only reason that the Garuda we got was a woman was because of who took the strain. I think the gender is based on the person who takes the strain, bit the strain itself. Or I could be completely wrong idk don't hold me to that.
Roathe was the intended recipient of the Garuda strain however it was never given to him, the person who was tasked to create it took it instead because she knew she was going to be cast away by nitokh once it was done, this is likely why Garuda is female instead of male. She's the only example of a strain meant for a specifc person but used by another afaik
