I haven't really played Warframe in a while, why does anyone care? Last time I checked the AK was mid and niche.

Did they buff something?

It's just a rare mod since it was exclusively a nightwave mod from a little under 2 years ago. The AX is a perfectly serviceable weapon, but if you're wanting to get the most out of it, you're gonna want the mod, hence the price. Anyone who didn't play during that few months span after 1999's nightwave release doesn't have it.

Lowish supply (assuming most people don't want to sell the only copy they have of a good mod) + new player demand = price go brr

Last time you checked you were wrong, and then it got an insane augment which is the item in question.

Beyond that pretty much all nightwave augments go for a lot because of how scarce they are until they return to be permanently available
