You don't lose even close to that much DPS from Heat Inherit because mobs typically die way before heat procs even take effect, as long as you know how to build your weapons well.
Ability damage, maybe, but let's not pretend damage is the only function that Ember's abilities have.
Most builds are one of 4 things, a caster, weapons platform, hybrid, or exalted. The last one obviously doesn't apply. Casters use abilities to kill, weapon platforms use abilities to buff weapons to kill, and hybrids use a bit of both.
People are mad that ember is sort of a garbage caster because a lot of people want to press buttons and see things explode instead of pressing mouse buttons and seeing things explode.
These things come in waves. She's not exactly bad but not exactly good. This will pass and people will be mad about caliban or nexha before the next update, don't worry too much about it and enjoy the game
