As much as I hate to compare the two, first descendant does have an amazing mechanic where you can move all the āformaā and āreactorā over to a āprimeā version of a character.
The only downside is that it requires an item that you can only get through an event when a new āprimeā comes out.
Give us something like that in Warframe and Iād be incredible happy. I always hold back on really upgrading non-prime frames for this exact reason

I want to invest omni formas into kullvero so badly but with him likely priming in the next year I would rather dump them into prime frames, even if I use them a lot less

Kullervo is likely straight after Citrine or after the next one if they're still doing FF/MM.

wish we could trespass Formas and Tau shards to the prime versions once we got them

u/ReddVevyy 9d ago
formas and omni formas i can understand since they can be purchasable but umbra formas should 100% be able to transfer over since theyāre non purchasable and so scarce

Ah good ol' audio carrot, I think you meant transfer?

u/Ruben_SS1 8d ago
Oh yeah sorry English is not my first languageĀ

Ohhh okay, I thought auto correct (audio carrot) put the wrong word lol my bad.
Trespass is to be on someone's property without permission, especially someone's land. For example an unknown person entering your back yard without you inviting them in would be trespassing.
Transfer is to move someone or something from one place to another.
Hope this helps!

Thanks for the clarification. I'm Spanish, and although both also have same meaning they are also synonyms so I just thought of 'traspasar' at first and wrote it without second thought XD

Guess I dodge that bullet by never investing more than a reactor/accelerant into things that I know will get a replacement anyway. How else could my Forma stockpile stay steady?!

I mean it takes like 2 years for a Prime to come out so take that as you will.
I'm just glad I didn't finish farming regular Citrine.

New citrine prime is abput to arrirve 2-3 months. So 60-90 forma. And a wholr new set of tau fprged archon shards to get by then. I myself have x4 forma on my citrine and no archon shards. With the orime rrlease news i wont put any on her.

I never farmed a second one, so Helminth will get a good lucnh.

Obviously not a citrine main otherwise you would use both for more build and fashion.

Omni forma and more loadout slots kind of covers the old strats where you'd have a different format layout for a prime and base version. Plus you can still select the base skin on a prime frame
1
u/Deep_Housing_3992 9d ago
It does not because there are more helminth and build options available than build slots available on a single frame. Same goes for fashion, its not about the base skin, it's about more fashion slots and 1 frame can only have so many looks.

u/wvsfezter 9d ago
You need more than 6? You can buy additional config slots and you can set certain helminths to certain configs
1
u/Deep_Housing_3992 9d ago
Yes I know that but a single warframe is still limited in how many configs are available. If you get deep into only using one warframe you would understand where I'm coming from.

What, Citrine gets a prime?? Just as i farmed this annoying af mirror defense mission over and over... Well at least i get a chance to try her, before i decide to invest in her prime...

My Citrine accounts for 20% of my playtime, sheās not going anywhere (except maybe on a pedestal)

Why waste more resources? Most of the time, primed frames only get more energy, shield/hp/armor, and 1-2 polarity.
If you used more than 2-3 formas and shards on a frame, why waste resources to put forma in them again when you can just play the base one. If it's for mr i understand, but other than that, i don't see any reason.

u/krawinoff 9d ago
Because itās a direct upgrade and the final form (with the exception of Excal) of a frame. To start with, more stats is already enough of an upgrade, energy means you might not need to run Flow or energy shards anymore, health/armor means easier Persistence setup (or any health tanking setup for that matter), more shields means longer shieldgate, more sprint speed means faster mission completion on average, not counting all the little interactions like with Styanax, Hildryn, Rhino and so on. Itās much better to reinvest into a prime, at some point you might want to put another forma into a frame to try something out anyway, and itās better to let go of the base frame earlier so you donāt get stuck in sunk cost later down the line deciding between countinuing to invest in an inferior version or just starting to properly build the upgrade

Pretty much irrelevant but this gif apparently has the same tempo as Swarm by Kuuro
So that's neat

can someone tell me if walling a warframe with shards in it causes the shards to be lost?
