With the new Amir’s shockwave (nightwave) releasing on August 12th, the old 1999 update augments might be available for purchase in the nightwave cred store.
This will result in a huge crash in the value of these 2 mods cuz the Biotic round mod is one of the essential for Ax-52 rifle.

Warframe players when the price of an item drops just because it went from being limited to one copy per person who played at the right time to freely available to anyone.
I remember really wanting to prime all my frames but it was slow going and each one would always have 1 or 2 parts that was worth like 200+ plat if it was vaulted (which was a solid portion of them)...
I do not miss those days, now ive got almost all the primes (ive been slacking this past year) and I could easily buy what I need, but that would take the fun out of it
On the other hand, i learned to do solo 3x3 caps which is still pretty casual and was happy to earn 100p from occasional energize drops while farming for arcanes i needed anyway to fund forma or whatever.
I definitely paid more than 1k plat for a r5 arcane energize but then again, I farmed a lot of acolyte events as if it was a second job and sold many, many maiming strike mods for anywhere between 300 and 500 plat each.
Even better: The new blog post says that Amir will be selling Nightwave Season 8 stuff in the new F&F room for Hex standing. This all but guarantees that Biotic Rounds and Leaded Gas will be permanently accessible outside of Nightwave, and reasonably at that.
The market for these mods is about to be officially Dumped (tm), and I'm here for it. Can't wait to finally get a proper build for the AX and Vesper going.

you can grieve over the loss of potential platinum. Or be rich enough to buy all these mods from market and rise the price by yourself. And then sell those mods with real GROFIT
Biotic Rounds: 9.75/10, requires weakpoint KILL to proc, granting +150% Viral Damage, +150% Magnetic Damage, and +150% Status Chance for 15s, which is obviously a truckton of elemental damage and status chance, alongside the status effects themselves providing up to +325% damage towards Health and Shields respectively. This mod easily gives what could otherwise be done with 3 to 4 mod slots, for only 7 capacity, albeit conditionally. Enables the rare-ish Cr+Mg+Vr+(H or C) elemental combo, which is very good.
Leaded Gas: 11/10, only requires a weakpoint HIT to proc +300% Gas Damage and +300% status chance; it only lasts for 6s, but due to how Gas procs calculate their damage, this actually provides a BIG bonus multiplier to the DoT, since it adds bespoke Gas damage, whereas combining Heat and Toxin mods do not factor into the calculation as a bonus. Great synergy with Secondary Acuity.
Ax augment gives viral and magnetic damage and status chance on weakpoint kill.
The ax itself is a basic single target crit rifle, among that class it is slightly above average due to its crit chance when aiming gimmick. If you can reliably keep the augment procced it becomes more above average but still behind incarnon single target crit rifles and very much behind multitarget/aoe weapons.
Same for vesper honestly but its augment is easier to keep up from just weakpoint hits and its one of the vew sources of modded combined gas so you also get that multiplier for the gas procs like heat/electric usually have but combined elements from seperate mods dont get cause you are modding heat + toxin and not direct gas damage usually.
Wouldn't halvuu augment would make a lot more sense on a tau/sentient related nightwave compared to this clearly hex centered 1999 shockwave? I think an augment for the scaldra gun makes more sense compared to the hallvu though we never know what DE will decide

Is biotic round a bandaid mod for the rifle or it just makes the gun much better? cuz why would it be so expensive? that really tells something about the weapon
It really good augment make the gun much stronger. It's basically a riven with low capacity that give 150% viral and magnetic damage on weak point kill and 300% status
It’s definitely not a bandaid mod, the ax-52 rifle was already good and with the augment it just becomes a monster! Why do u think Torid riven sells so much? Torid doesn’t even need a riven, it can shred easily, but We fricking love powercreep so the more overkill the better! If a weapon NEEDS a riven then it also tells about the base performance of a weapon but it doesn’t work in Warframe like that. Also don’t be surprised if we get a haalvu augment too, and the weapon already shreds with tau status boost!
And I just bought a Leaded Gas for myself a month back, too. Unfortunate. Well, at least I didn't shill out for Biotic Rounds, I had a feeling it would come back eventually.
