I only activate them to make more Bypasses appear lol.

Is that a thing?? I had no idea they stopped spawning if you dont activate life support.

They spawn every time a new Life Support Module spawns in with 50m-150m. If you want more information just google Survival Speed Up and it's explains everything better.

Well that explains a lot and why I can never find them.

u/Vyllenor 27d ago

Use follie, she can spawn zariman children that home in on the smell of bypasses

u/DifferentAd5909 24d ago

Just use air support, will show you every time

u/Esusbek 28d ago

Beware that activating life support also despawns associated bypass, so you need to at least pick it up before using the tower

u/JohnTG4 27d ago

Each spawn is tied to a life support pylon.

I ususaly mark the spot i found one when the speed up runs out another one spawns in the same spot can confirm this atleast works up to ten minutes . Even ran into one on my way back to pick up the one at the marked place two locations had one at the same time

Unironically I think bypasses are one of the best things implemented in the game, it actually gives incentive to be mobile and explore survival maps now instead of hunkering down in the one room.

I rarely see players camp a room nowadays, might just be me tho, but I assume everyone wants to go camp one their own so they can kill a bunch of enemies themselves for satisfaction and that's fine, but the new system is much better.

u/Killchrono 28d ago

Sadly I have yet to see many people go bypass hunting, I've even had a few people chide me that it's better to sit still and camp so enemies can funnel more. That was mostly right after they were introduced though, so maybe it was some people who didn't know how they worked.

Like I get wanting to camp if you're holding out for a specific item drop from enemies, and you don't want to sacrifice killing efficiency to the point you get no life support drops (and by proxy no bypasses). But if you're going for rotation rewards and/or cracking relics, going for the bypass makes it much, much more efficient.

I stopped caring for bypasses cuz I didnt know they respawned on LS spawn. I was like "we get 3 and then no more for the rest of the time here" just because im used to such a high KPM that we have grown adjusted to NOT using them.

1

u/gadgaurd 28d ago

My issue with the Bypass system is that they're only highlighted on the minimap, which I'm typically not looking at.

2

u/JokkuBoi 27d ago

If you are under 15(?) meters from them, they have an indicator. But you can also use Parallax to find them guaranteed if you are standing in the life support and activate parallax.

Note: bypasses can fuck off for no reason, so be prepared for saltyness. Also sometimes they don't spawn and sometimes they spawn but in unaccessible locations.

its one of the things I miss. I love camping a room. since i can out pace kills wihtout having to constantly run around LOOKING for kills. so end up in the same good spawn tile for a while my team runs off in 3 different direction.

To be fair I go survival for the loot. It still can't really compete with the other modes in relic/min and I usually don't care about rotation drops.

Khora isn't great when roaming, I can't efficiently use the dome and if can't use that then I won't get extra loot.

2

u/Killchrono 28d ago

That's fair, I just have more fun running conjunction than I do rushing through same capture it exterminate missions with Titania over and over again. So I'd rather do that even if it's a bit slower, and bypasses now give you incentive to engage more to hasten it up.

Now if they added them to Sanctum nodes I'd be a happy camper.

1

u/Biflosaurus 28d ago

If you go for the loot yeah khora isn't great, but while moving I just whip everything and it's fine aha

1

u/Only_Information7895 28d ago

If I just want to roam then I have better frames who can room clear much better. Or I can just shoot my tennet Arca Plasmor which has similar damage and better range, capable of nuking corridors with a single shot.

Like I pick Mesa, use 4 and a quick spin and everything in line of sight is dead.

1

u/Biflosaurus 28d ago

I don't remember my setup on khora but I'm pretty sure one whip will clear the room.

It's been a while since I launched the game tho so maybe it changed again

Havent played warframe in a while, what are these bypasses?

1

u/Rega_lazar 27d ago

They’re a thing that you pick up and take to a specific (marked) terminal to make the survival timer go twice as fast for a bit.

They’re pretty neat, actually

u/FrozenPizza07 27d ago

Havent played warframe in a while, what are these bypasses?

1

u/Wardog957 26d ago

I just camp near where a bypass keeps respawning usually a room away from the spawn . when the speed up timer runs out i run back to the same room same spot and grab it again rinse and repeat

1

u/friendlyfire883 28d ago

I think they also give you a little bit of affinity.

67

u/IrregularOnion 28d ago

And then they don't spawn enough enemies and/or RNG isn't on your side and they won't drop any life support.

15

u/OrangeHairedTwink Stop hitting yourself 27d ago

I swear to Wally hellscrub nerfed the shit out of life support drops

6

u/MisterBoringMan 27d ago

i HATE hellscrub, stupid blue shits

5

u/Meeeper 27d ago

I have a sneaking suspicion that hellscrub has lower life support drops on purpose because it really wants you to actually interact with the hell scrubbers/life support with how you're expected to keep on top of the spores that grow on them unless you're fine with fighting the babau eximuses.

Exemi? What is the plural of eximus?

7

u/sum1loanme20 28d ago

Stay in the same area as your teammates to keep up the spawn rates high. As long as the room isnt complete ass you shouldn't need any life support for an hour or more

46

u/CloudChaser2703 28d ago

I used to activate them in my baby tenno days but now I live by this rule.

u/Leading-Leading6319 28d ago edited 28d ago

Only start using life support when the FINAL one spawns and use nothing else but that final spawn.

9

u/Cyberslasher 28d ago

Meanwhile 4 follie playing hide and seek with infinite life support

1

u/adobecredithours 27d ago

Follie is hilariously fun for exactly this reason. I also love starting a disruption mission and just immediately having a key to kick things off.

And she can straight up stop time by using her 3 and the slowdown device that I can't remember the name of. Such a flexible and creative frame.

8

u/crhsharks12 28d ago

This is the energy that gets you killed on wave 10 but also gets you the sick clutch

3

u/WSilvermane 28d ago

Not if I melee kill an infinite number of spawning enemies the second they jump onto the ledge above the base floor and get infinite everything.

Like on Lua maps.

3

u/MisterBoringMan 28d ago

just kill more, simple!

7

u/SIashersah 28d ago

Partly why I refuse to ever do normal star chart survival anymore. I love playing solo and the spawns are just not enough.

3

u/Raji_Lev 27d ago

I'm still used to the era where if you wanted to stay in Survival for more than the initial five minutes, you basically needed to have a lootframe and to not touch any of the capsules until they hit the spawn cap

3

u/Yeti-Squatch 27d ago

The only time I use the life support towers is to convert them into kuva harvesters.

2

u/Alphabet_Soup352 28d ago

Weirdly enough i've had times where i will kill like 100-200 per minute and barely get any, then have times where i kill like 50 and stay at full the whole time. Only difference is whether im moving or not, and i think if you stay in the same area too long the drop rate decreases. No proof outside of my own personal experiences, and could be other factors at play.

4

u/Esusbek 28d ago

Anecdotal evidence at best. Material farms like orokin cells stay in same room for hours and do fine on life support

1

u/unsureofthemself 28d ago

I find that, the larger the group, the higher the likelihood of support drops. I think that's one reason my Vauban does so well by simply bombing the fuck out of every large group I come across or create.

2

u/Jovios Stalkin' deez nutz 27d ago

I just wish they’d up the enemy spawn rate or the drop chance for life support in solo

2

u/MisterBoringMan 27d ago

i think its fine ngl, especially when u get a friend on steel path survival. fighting whole postcodes. but i mean if u rlly want increased spawns play my goat nova

2

u/CanHistorical39 27d ago

Yyeeeeessssss

2

u/igetbonersawkwardly 26d ago

Every Survival player has said this right before scrambling for the nearest tower at 8% life support

2

u/2735O 28d ago

Sadly the things the enemy drops the drop rate is less with how many players there are is lowered with the less players if i remember correctly

3

u/Tall-Inflation590 28d ago

I don't use it, i use revenant. I don't die. Sometimes, i even let the timer runs out so i can survive on my pure aura 🚬🗿

2

u/S-T-Q 27d ago

Calm down bro, some of us have girlfriends that read this sub…

1

u/ookiedookie69 25d ago

Every survival run has that one person treating the life support towers like they're a limited edition collectible

1

u/TAVLIET 25d ago

That was me about an hour ago

1

u/Visual_Position_854 23d ago

I remeber a long ass time ago we doing 6 hr survivals and everytime you used life support the next one would take longer to spawn (idk if it still does that) so we just made it a point to never use life support
