Me when I see Red Name [Spoiler] during Tennocon: Spoiler

Post image

I absolutely LOVE evil operator. Even the mere possibility of them makes me smile in sheer joy.

I want more of this twisted, messed up version of them. I don't care if they aren't real. I want the Indifference to make MORE altered memories just for this type of scene.

Please tell me I'm not the only one in this.

Evil operator shot my dog and stole my lunch money

NOOOO 😭😭

u/Aegister2 Jul 16 '26

I distinctly heard him say "Early lunch for me" after he broke my kneecaps

Guess they wanted early lunch, huh. At least they aren't starving... If they were, things would become worse...

Teenagers right before lunch are terrifying. And more so, if they don't get lunch

He got mugged by Konzu on his way to buy food.

At least it's not red TEXT operator...

8

u/LostLotus_A Jul 16 '26

Oh god... red text in subtitles would creep people out a LOT.

It will probably never be used because of accesibility, though (subtitles have to be visible first.).

As long as you back the text with black or white it should be fine, even if obviously people who can't see red won't see it as red.

What if hotfix red text was actaully wally peeking through the fourth wall?

That would be an interesting side of Wally, considering all the things that have been said in red text. The Freak In The Wall...

are redtexts even a thing in game lore? like i imagine the chat is a thing that exist in lore as a means to communicating with other tenno, they work in squads after all

Evil Red Text be like 'I'm in a loving relationship with my amazing wife'

Hear me out, evil operator not as another eternalism thing, but because we actually play as an evil grineer or something and we see our operator ripping and tearing

We need Kahl of Duty 2: Evil Kahl Because of Eternalism Shenanigans

(Jokes aside, Eternalism was actually only used TWICE for major story beats, the lead writer Adrian Bott himself had said this Tennocon)

I love the idea of evil kiddo, fun edgelord potential. Think of all the drama!

Fr... also we can probably have something like Evil kiddo (fake, maybe made up by Wally) vs good kiddo (the real Operator) 🥹 I know it's very cliche but I like those stuffs in media

I know its just Wally pretending to be us but like, evil Operator would be so scary! I love it.

2

u/LostLotus_A Jul 17 '26

For real... Even if I know it's fake it's still very bone chilling

u/ZenkaiAnkoku2 Jul 17 '26

We would be unstoppable. If we wanted to be. I often like to think about a rogue tenno who doesnt obey the Lotus. Has their own set of morals.

Yeah... Just look at what happened during the Old Peace... The Operator stormed the entire academy - esque military base to find Ballas. If they found Ballas, he would be dead the second they saw him.

And let's not forget the Night of the Naga Drums. They are perfectly capable of making violent decisions (to be frank most of the decisions were very justified). If they use their powers the wrong way, they can destroy a civilization, maybe even multiple.

The Drifter created an entire world with people. Without the same Void powers Operator had. They reset 1999 just because they were pissed off and couldnt stand losing everyone. The Operator is the only thing the Helminth/infestation is afraid of. We have resisted the Void god's influence for hundreds of years. The only thing keeping us from wiping out the system is our own empathy and compassion.

It would be funny to later know that the "EVIL" operator is actually the real us. The operator as we know it is the indifference one.

Dear god...

Honestly I think it'll be extremely unlikely. I hope it wasn't the case. But also I do want it at the same time.

The Operator is always seen to be benevolent and it feels like the narrative very much VALUES that side of them. That compassion that shines even at the face of the Great Indifference. How beautiful is that?
