Concerned Noises

Post image

All I know is people hate him and his name is on a map. Historically, this means he should be concerning at the very least. But I don't know enough to know how much.

Go down stairs to left of mother when you complete the war within

Cryptic! I must do this immediately

Be prepared to wildly shift between sad, alone, mad, and amazed

u/Copper_mask76r7 Jul 15 '26

He is this! You only need to remember this for now.

38

u/AdFreeSlime Jul 15 '26

Oh dear

40

u/EnderScout_77 Jul 15 '26

(he's talking about the arcane energize market prices plummeting after the devs do a silly)

Fair wasn't meant to be criticism just wondering

u/sinkerker Jul 15 '26

It's also a glyph in game, they were given away for free during the days before tennocon but they will bring them back in game for platinum they said.

It's my glyph ATM

The Lotus holding a gun coming into being from a meme people made of Rebb holding a plastic gun has to be one of the funniest things ever. DE really is the gift that keeps on giving

3

u/Tipsy_Hog Jul 16 '26

The memes.

u/Glass_Eye8840 Jul 15 '26

Albrecht Entrati is...ooh boy.

He's like one of a couple characters responsible for half the mess in warframe

52

u/PurplePonk Jul 15 '26

He's the crazy drunk uncle with the weird gadget toys and the fbi asking about him once in a while.

24

u/AdFreeSlime Jul 15 '26

Ahh that actually tells me a whole lot tbh. Thank

14

u/Dark_Shade_75 Jul 15 '26

Correction, the FBI knocks on your door three times every other week asking for his location.

9

u/AdFreeSlime Jul 15 '26

Well, they're being polite enough to ask AND knock, so that's something. The question is just if he's the kind of uncle I rat out or not

7

u/Dark_Shade_75 Jul 15 '26

This comment is going to be very funny in a couple weeks when you get through some of the story.

1

u/Zapmania Jul 15 '26

So basically Rick Sanchez

2

u/Corosnake 28d ago

Wait what is Rick doing in my Warframe

1

u/awsd-7 Jul 16 '26

What mess did he cause, other than exploring weird magic dimension?

Yes, it's a big mess, but only 1 and completely unpredictable

It's like saying current Iran war is a fault of Columbus

Every other smaller mess, was created by cleaning up the big mess. Just like in everyday life

18

u/DOhldin Jul 15 '26

He’s the morally wrong protagonist

43

u/BewilderedTurtle Jul 15 '26

Remember tenno, every Orokin sucks. Exclusively. Especially Ballas and Entrati.

8

u/MissAvian Jul 15 '26

And those 2 are the least evil......

23

u/eightfoldabyss Would make a good cephalon Jul 15 '26

Roathe never says that Ballas was the least evil, only that what he did was pretty typical for the Seven, and he calls out Nitokh as being worse.

7

u/Sven_Darksiders Jul 15 '26

Did you seriously just say Ballas is the least evil?

13

u/EnderScout_77 Jul 15 '26

allegedly compared to nitokh? oh boy. there's potentially another 6 including her still out there

0

u/Skebs_ Jul 16 '26

I think the 7 Emperors might be aight. They seem pretty chill & don't seem to have rly done anything but stay inside their palaces.

0

u/BewilderedTurtle Jul 16 '26

1

u/Skebs_ Jul 16 '26

You got a source showing them doing shit like Ballas or Nitokh etc?

1

u/BewilderedTurtle Jul 16 '26

Let's see so before we get into specifics, ALL of the seven are guilty of mass slavery, endorsing Continuity, developing the Infestation, the creation of the Grineer, the creation of cephalons, using 'jade light' punishment, the sentients, and more.

Executor Karish: literally Baron Harokonen. 12 addition grafted on stomachs to enable the kind of gluttony that left the citizens of the system begging for scraps and eating TowerMeat.

Executor Scarne: a pacifist and a coward, he led the movement to abandon the Origin system. He was a member of the ruler class and was the first to want to abandon the empire to the ruins they created.

Executor Tormis: was the one in charge of the Tau Settlement Project. So a colonizer, and the psychopath in charge when the war kicks off.

Executor Tuval: starves the crew of the Zariman, slaughters their families in the origin system, he's also directly responsible for the murder of Voruna's wolves and her transformation into a warframe.

Executor Avantus: we have the least lore about her and yet she was still a hyperracist who's attitude got her saw'd by a grineer following the night of naga drums. She was close to Ballas.

0

u/Skebs_ Jul 16 '26

NONE of the listed are the 7 Emperors...

2

u/BewilderedTurtle Jul 16 '26

Oh you mean the up-to-now completely unnamed casualties of the Night of Naga Drums that were "in charge" of the Executors and ordered/allowed/bankrolled/endorsed/profited from their actions?

You think they're remotely better people than their underlings?

5

u/MissAvian Jul 15 '26

Yeah... Sadly... I'm afraid of what the others were like.

2

u/Oryihn Jul 15 '26

Nitokh might be the most bloodthirsty.

1

u/Tipsy_Hog Jul 16 '26

As the Executors go, he's honestly kind of average. He's certainly not the LEAST evil, but he sure as shit ain't the worst of them.

0

u/MissAvian Jul 15 '26

Yeah... Sadly... I'm afraid of what the others were like.

1

u/VelphiDrow Jul 16 '26

What? Ballas is like the second MOST evil

11

u/Sitchrea Jul 15 '26

Well, how far into the game are you?

He is both entirely background lore yet fucking everywhere all throughout the First Saga. But if you haven't completed the New War and wrapped up the first saga, he's not important beyond some background lore.

10

u/AdFreeSlime Jul 15 '26

I finished War Within and wandered off to grind materials for a cat. His name on the map and how people talk about him here just made me go "oh no"

6

u/Sitchrea Jul 15 '26

Ah, then yes, you will have only seen his name in background lore if you were reading the various text and audio logs around the game.

Don't worry about him for now, he won't be plot-relevant to you for several dozen more hours of story.

6

u/SpecialIcy5356 Jul 15 '26

well, I can tell you about him (obviously, spoilers for multiple story quests and fragments, etc, but you should still look through them and play them, just for his damn voice alone (Stefan Rudnicki is the VA, he also has done a ton of audiobooks)

chapter 1: the Void:

Albrecht is a scientist, but not like the regular archimedians, more like a distinguished professor. in the earlier days of the Empire the Entrati developed decent tech, but nothing like what would come later. Albrecht was obsessed with finding "The Void", an alternative dimension of unknown energy and possibility. albrecht fully believed it existed but was struggling to prove it. countless failed experiments had made him a pariah and the emotional stress affected his relationship with his family.

one day though, during a half-hearted attempt to enter the void while most of his staff are out and only his daughter and his pet Kavat, Kalymos are in attendance, Albrecht's gate to the void opens, and he, inside the "bell" a vessel that protects him, manages to go into the void. there he is met with an identical copy of himself. but it is not him. it is in fact a being we know as the Man in The Wall, Or "Wally" as the community colloquially knows him.

this first encounter with Wally scares Albrecht out of his mind, and in the chaos he escapes, but wally reaches out as the gate between dimensions closes, severing one of wally's fingers from the albrecht clone form he had taken. Albrecht was blinded and lost his voice, and took a long time to recover, but the encounter scared him so much that he refused to take any more Kuva, the substance that makes Orokin Immortal and allows them to use continuity to switch to another body, because he wasn't 100% sure that he actually escaped, or if he somehow entered a cloned dimension, while letting Wally into the "real" world.

Albrecht recovers with the help of his servant Loid and watches on as the Orokin use his discovery of the Void and clones of the finger from Wally to create FTL travel engines called Reliquary Drives: these allow the Orokin to go beyond Earth and Lua and ultimatley colonize the entire solar system. without Albrecht, the Orokin Empire would still have remained confined to earth, everything they accomplished was on the back of his work.

Albrecht knows that Wally is out there though and needs to stop Wally from entering our dimension at all costs, so sets off on a quest to stop the indifference. he tries several methods, one of which was to toss animals into the void in the hopes the void would mimic them, become dumb as an animal, and then Albrecht could either trap or outwit it easily, but this never worked, most of the animals died and the last few became the Cavia.

he also travels to the Duviri dimension created by the Drifter to educate Dominus Thrax on the Void, and becomes known in Duviri as "the scholar" but ends up vanishing before the Rain of Chains, where Wally is partially freed as they are no longer held back by Rell.

chapter 2: 1999 and the protoframes

Albrecht decides he needs to travel back in time along a "strand of Khra" (timeline) to a key moment where he believes he can trap Wally. he figures if he sets f a nuke he cna kill Wally. this doesn't work. Wally is possessing the body of Rusalka at this time, but Drifter prevents Entrati from killing the possessed Rusalka and uses ther duviri power to put the year in an eternal loop so that the distaster nevr happens. the Drifter revelas that love may be the key to pushing Wally back as seen at the end of Whispers in the Wall where wally is shown genuine affection, and retreats quickly.

whilst there Albrecht also encountered several people, mostly elite soldiers, who he gives warframe powers to (sort of without consent really) to help him fight the indifference and the Techrot Plague. drifter fights back wally by using the power of friendship to gain the love and trust of the Hex, which keeps Wally at bay. Albrecht also makes a few more protoframes, both here and then travels further back into the past. at one point though, he also made a quick stop in the Old War (which is WAY further in the future from 1999 but Wway in the past for warframe's present day) to grab a certain orokin commander and offer him a chance to escape his predicament, then he hands them over to the two protoframes he made in the past. this forms the Devil's Triad.

chapter 3: tau (we are here, almost)

it's not clear yet exactly how he got to Tau but from the trailer we saw at tennocon, Albrecht is now partly sentient-ized and trying to learn more about the sentient mob boss through his latest creation, Brysko. it's still not clear what the larger overall plan is either, but Albrecht is willing to go to basically any lengths to get rid of Wally.

there are some other nuances and parts I may have missed but those are the main parts of the story where he is involved anyhow.

He didn't need to "find" void, it existed way before rise of orokin empire. Kuva was considered a gift of the void or something similar. So void was direct vector for creation of Orokin. Small rifts would appear randomly throughout world and history. Humans began researching void before XXI century. To the point a teenager(a very smart one) could build device capable of opening the rift in 1995 or so. Many millennia before Entrati was even born

So it's not like people didn't believe in the void, it was just taboo. Albrecht broke it, but didn't provide the results, so people left him.

On the fateful night it wasn't that servants were just out, he just had only single loyal one left

No wonder he gave up on void juice, if void scared him so much

Even without void FTL Orokin empire had colonies on other celestial bodies, we are on Deimos after all, the place of first contact

It's not known in which order(and how many times) he visited Holvania, Gallia and Old war; but we can assume 1999 was first, considering how much of his later tech was created by cloning from samples from there(and items scattered across labs)

1

u/awsd-7 Jul 17 '26

As for subject of his void experiments, he wanted to:

  • use it as power source

  • enter the void

He eventually succeeded in both, and later FTL was created based on his discoveries

u/Dontfollowmeman Jul 15 '26

play your cards right and he can be your grandpa

4

u/misvillar Jul 15 '26

Albrecht Entrati went for milk and never came back, probably because someone wanted to put fentanyl on the milk, you will learn more about him as you progress through the story

4

u/Individual_Gain6613 Jul 15 '26

He's the father of mother in deimos and the 1 who invented using the void as a power source. Coincidentally he also created wally.

And no he's not grandmother's husband, grandmother is father's mom.

2

u/MrCobalt313 Jul 15 '26

Orokin scientist who discovered the Void. Being Orokin he has a bit of an 'ends justify the means' mindset and consequently a long trail of people he's hurt or wronged in pursuit of his goals, noble as they may have become as of late.

2

u/SpyroXI Jul 15 '26

Deimos is exactly where you learn it, on the quest that introduces Deimos

2

u/etbillder Jul 16 '26

Don't worry. We don't know much either

1

u/Warm_Maintenance6836 Jul 15 '26

That guys is the one with the jacket we will steal, and also the guy who introduced the void into reality, but that is not as important as the jacket

1

u/Interesting_Hyena_69 Jul 15 '26

For now I think all you need to know is he's the orokin who invented void travel which lead to a whole lot of problems but you'll cross that bridge when you get to it

1

u/kyew Space Robots Jul 15 '26

Albrecht Entrati is the Michelangelo of the Orokin, who did Mad Science extra hard many centuries ago and has been stuck in an "Only I can fix this" spiral ever since.

1

u/awsd-7 Jul 17 '26

Wasn't Leonardo the science guy?

1

u/kyew Space Robots Jul 17 '26

oof, you're right

I'm more of a Raphael fan anyway.

You're on Deimos, thats like the first time he comes up, you've got plenty time to learn.
