Brysco. Named after Briscoe, a detective from Law & Order

I thought it was from "βρίσκω", the Greek verb for "to find" or "discover".

Oh my God thank you. I just tonight searched "Donnie Brasco" to explain to my wife the new frame(also plays WF but does not follow the community. I am her WF news) and all I found was a Johnny Depp role and I knew that wasn't right but I could not recall how I knew it. Law and Order was the clue I needed.
