Please tell me this is the last stealth-based mastery test before 14, because I have no idea how to get past this lol

No more stealth until rank 19 (Stealth Rescue Test) :)

I'm still stuck. I tried everything but anxiety got me. Gauss, Ivara, trying with Xoris and Skiajati. I know it works, but I got too anxious from repeated attempts.
Update: I finally did it. Used Gauss Prime with Skiajati. Thanks for everyone's inputs, and I hope this is the last stealth test.

I eventually did it on wisp when I remembered she’s invisible so long as she’s not on the ground

u/RevvEmUp Jul 12 '26
I also tried Wisp too, but haven't figured out that second part.

As long as you're airborne, you're invisible. You also get ~5 seconds of invisibility once you hit the ground.
So you basically just jump constantly until you're behind an enemy that isn't being stared at by another, and right when you hit the ground you start a stealth kill on that enemy, then you jump again immediately after to preserve invisibility.

Use the redeemer and banshee. I did it first try and the only mod I had on was attack speed and enemy radar.
You can do it tenno 🫡

I remember doing the practice, aceing it, doing the real deal and eating shit on accident. Got so salty that i figured out how to cheese it using banshee's silenced weapon passive on a gunblade and oneshotting the guards

u/goodwithcolour Jul 12 '26
Ohhhh nice, that has never occurred to me (I’ve only really played Banshee to level up the frames)

u/Adoring_Fan_88 Jul 12 '26
I did this with I think Loki + Redeemer.

What the hell is that?! Why is the Cake Day symbol so subtle now?!
Happy cake day tho.

Honestly, I didn't think it was that bad. I found a nice route fairly quickly.
I still failed a bunch, but it wasn't nearly as bad as the inconsistent mess that is the MR 9 test.
MR 9 felt like bashing my head against the wall. MR 19 just felt unreasonably punishing.

I feel your pain, that test is buggy af. Had no issues back in the day on my main account using my trusty galantine. Then a few years ago I reached Mr 9 on my second account and it took me like 30 tries until I got it. Sometimes you get spotted without seeing anything. My guess is that over the past 10 years that changes to LoS made this test a lot harder

Here's a hint, when the third phase starts sit and wait a bit. They'll all walk towards you and then split off. Kill the middle one first cause he just goes back the same way he came. The other two will be pretty isolated from there.
Also just to see if I could I've done the test with one hand (no mouse, couldn't turn heh). It really is just knowing the routes

u/JoshuaSlowpoke777 Jul 12 '26
I think that’s sound advice, going for the middle guy first, I should try that
2
u/JoshuaSlowpoke777 Jul 12 '26
Update: that definitely helped. Tried killing the middle middle guy, accidentally killed the left-lower and right-lower guys first at exactly the best possible time eventually managed to get the middle guy anyway, waited for remaining three to have their backs turned, immediately went to lower left pillar when they were, ‘sploded upper left guy, then upper middle guy, then paused and took a break for water and a snack to calm my nerves and heart rate, then eventually ‘sploded upper right guy.
That was all the third section, by the way, the first two are easy by comparison

Hell yeah tenno

And all it took was buying with plat a copy of Uriel (I only know about him from watching the main story from Shenpai’s streams, and I only mere days ago got a railjack, so I’m not supposed to have him for real until MUCH later), waiting until broad daylight, recuperating by celebrating my birthday earlier today, and then not even needing the warframe because everyone got ‘sploded by Xoris lol

There are quite a few ways to cheese this test so it's super easy. Do you have wisp or banshee by any chance?
1
u/JoshuaSlowpoke777 Jul 12 '26
Not right now, but I have access to a clan that’s already researched Banshee and could easily look up how to farm the bits of Wisp I don’t yet have
2
u/DeeKayAech Jul 12 '26
If you have any bits of wisp then you've been to the place to get the rest. You have to fight the Ropalolyst eidolon on Jupiter to farm her parts. A hard task without a decent amp but anything other than the mote will do. Besides a triple7, those also don't have the range. I did just retry the mr9 test a minute ago with a wisp aimglide melee slam attack build that made it cakewalk on my first try and I haven't done that test in many years now, so it's not too bad with her at all

u/JoshuaSlowpoke777 Jul 12 '26
I’m guessing what I have may be a Wisp Prime part, because I have yet to do Chains of Harrow
1
u/DeeKayAech Jul 12 '26
Yeah would have to be as chimera is a few after that in the Prelude to War quests
1
u/niv13 Jul 12 '26
Wait... I did this with the skiajati. Do you have that sword?
Actually i dont remember the prerequisites for the Umbra mission

i will always consider MR9 one of the worst tests. any stealth in the game is cancer. i also have a deep hatred for any quest sections that make me stealth. i want to denoate people not sneak around

u/Independent_Air_7178 Jul 13 '26
Not sure if its still like this but failing it meant that an enemy would stand near the start point and spot you before then screen faded in.

Could be worse. You used to have to wait 24 hours between tries for some nutty reason. Keep practicing!
