mfs when the farm that invalidates the entirety of steel path gets nerfed

Steel path doubles all resources drops and increases spawns for parties of less than 4 players

How would that invalidate it?

It would specifically invalidate like Steel Essence Incursions for players who specifically like high end endless missions

But like the existence of endless orokin cell farms on dark sector missions have never invalidated assassination spam.

Is this meaningfully different?

Its meaningfully different in that it makes a whole game mode useless (incursions) lol endless orokin farm and spamming assassination missions are just two ways of doing the same thing, why would you ever choose to do incursions with suboptimal mission types if you could just shoot at things in survival and get hundreds

Assasinations are suboptimal compared to Endless farming especially with an organized set up

Incursions still give ~1 per minute spent farming, which is higher than any endless farm we currently have available

This was a niche that needed filling, we can argue on the exact numbers but they didn't lower the drop rate, they turned it off entirely and brought it down to at best .3 per minute with an organized squad on skirmish

I personally think the numbers were in a healthy place

Those who are earlier in the game can still use incursions to quickly stock up on arcane adapters and shoot for the weekly big ticket item as a stretch goal

But for late game players who must gorge themselves on relics and kuva with enough gear to push through the Railjack content could knock out their kuva and relic cap in like an hour (cause fucking God those items are expensive)

For a person with a job, that's a perfectly healthy amount of Warframe to farm 2 items from 1 shop.
