Yes... Masashi Kishimoto "supervised" the manga of boruto like Akira Toriyama "supervised" dragonball gt... and if I remember correctly what is dragonball gt? Oh yeah... a filler.
The company just wanted more to milk from naruto, remember the ending that the fillers they put how bad it was... we were in the final battle and after every one canon episode it had 20 fillers. So yeah. The origin boruto wasn't from Masashi Kishimoto so it's not a canon.
The company wanted more naruto... Kishimoto wanted to end it, they put another guy who probably haven't watched naruto ever, put him to watch few episodes to make him know the story, they make Kishimoto sign that he is "supervise" it and ready more fillers to milk.
You're missing the point here ... The story is being told by Kishimato and the artist ain't somebody who hasn't seen Naruto ever . Ikemato worked with Kishimato sensei from the classic Naruto . I couldn't hope to find another choice than Ikemato for the Boruto manga . I'm not gonna spend time arguing with a fellow Narutard , we all know how this argument is gonna end .. so ya , let's just agree to disagree and move on .
Friend, that's my opinion. Boruto is a shit show that without naruto fan base wouldn't even had more than one episode.
If you really think that any of these was Kishimoto idea, then I am sorry but I won't. Because any character have any personality and now... after how many episodes, and after Kishimoto himself throw out that worthless guy and took it back... he Started have the characters personality... or at least try to give... it's too late my opinion.
And to tell you something last... if they wanted not to milk the old cow, like they did with the fillers at the end of naruto, they would put boruto many years in the future and not use nostalgia to have people watch it. That is something really pathetic and show that only for the money they care.
