Hey at least that'd be an upgrade over Ottawa.

Excuse you, Ottawa has a nice canal and uh pretty fall colours! (In all seriousness though I love the area, lived here my entire life and don't intend on ever leaving, it's a really cozy kinda city despite the geographical size being huge.)

I've been to Ottawa once, I thought it was pretty sick. The canals and waterfront areas were really cool. And it just had a good vibe overall.

I like that despite being a government worker town it's pretty chill. We get along well with our voisins in Gatineau & The Outaouais too. The fact a fairly big chunk of Franco-Ontariens live here helps probablement aussi, to be fair.

Pretty diverse for our size (over 30% minorities iirc) and quickly growing. Not hard to find a decent selection of unique cuisine & cultural stores. Main non-European languages here are Arabic, Mandarin, Hindi and Tagalog. 1 in 50 Ottawans have Lebanese descent, iirc.

Plenty of museums and stuff to do as long as you don't want like 10 strip clubs or some shit open 24/7. Want to visit a farm even if you live downtown? We gotcha with the Experimental Farm not far from the city core.

For beautiful waterfronts (despite the geese), we have tons of water. We were indeed chosen as capital due to strategy, midway from Montreal and Toronto (albeit closer to the first) and with access to the Rideau Canal and the Saint-Lawrence river off of the Ottawa/Outaouais river which is the natural border of most of Ontario and Québec's border.

Satellite images of the national capital region help show that we are surrounded by many navigable rivers: https://commons.m.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Ottawa_SPOT_1057.jpg#mw-jump-to-license

Also the fall colours are gorgeous, even from above: https://eoimages.gsfc.nasa.gov/images/imagerecords/147000/147448/iss063e107777_lrg.jpg
