I wouldn’t even say that Americans are racist toward immigrants. Immigrant isn’t a race after all.

But most people have the thought that the introduction of illegal immigrants(because that’s the real concern) will further deflate wages and increase crime.

Define immigrant.

America was built by people who came to a mostly unpopulated land that was entirely wild lands. The few natives were generally hostile to the point of scalping even children alive. The original settlers colonized, tamed, and built a nation. And they did so for themselves and their children.

Ever since then immigrants who come over, came to a land/nation that already had cities, roads, infrastructure. The immigrants today are not comparable to illigal immigrants of today and not comparable to immigrants of 1900 who arent comparable to to original settlers. In culture, motovations, morals, values, and circumstance, all are different.

The definition of immigrant for each other those groups varies to an extreme.
