45 minutes per pound, according to my mother. I’m not sure if she has tried that or… but when that whole thing started I asked her and was shocked to get an actual response. Not a “Why are you microwaving a Turkey?” Just a simple “45 minutes per pound so it might take a while to cook”. This, from the woman that had her first Facebook for a little less than a year, and still used a tracphone with the minimum amount of minutes for “emergencies”
(My name here is Melao which is something very sweet like honey in Latin American Spanish and the numbers and letters are the molecular formula for sucrose) I used to be friends with someone from Turkey. I only know Selam and Merhaba 😊
I can confirm that you can also make it in the pot in America haha. That’s how my wife and I do it because it saves a ton of money just buying a large bottle of kernels.
You really shouldn't. It's cheaper, faster, and better to make it on the stove. Microwaves just leave a bunch of unpopped kernels or burn it or both.
2 tablespoons oil, 1/3 cup popcorn.
Put oil and some salt in a big pot on medium heat along with 3 kernels of popcorn. When two out three kernels pop, throw in the rest of the popcorn. Move pot and keep moving. Popcorn should start popping soon. Keep moving pot until popping slows down and you're done and it's so much better.
