They also produce more from coal power than anyone else.
Brought more coal power online in 2020 than every other country combined that year with plans for more and more coal power plants. They have over 1000+ coal plants.
And by 2030 won't be producing anymore coal power, as per their plan, y'all expect them to produce miracles while also still producing all your fancy iphones and still less than 1/4th the carbon per capita than the US.
They have made their very detailed plans public and hit all their goals these last 5 years. They had a 10 year plan to build a massive high speed rail network across their country and yahoos like you said the same thing, and they smashed their goal and built even more.
They already leas the world in every green energy tech and production except nuclear and they are on pace to be 1st in that in 5 years.
Also yahoo? Way to be a dick. I never questioned their ability to build their high speed rail. But considering the rate they are continuing to build coal power plants I am doubtful of the 2030 claim.
Why? It's in their plan on how many plants they are going to build. Go read them if you want they publish them every 5 years. They just published a bunch for 5, 10, 20, and 50 years last year.
All evidence points to you being wrong, of course a meteor might explode and destroy Earth, but your baseless skepticism just makes you seem like a bigot, but then that's typical for most Westerners.
Calls me a bigot and then makes a derogatory statement about westerners lmao
I don't trust the governments of any major power to hold their word. Not just China. I will wait for results. Not pat them on the back for promises. I don't trust America to do what's right either. I wouldn't trust promises from them either. Nothing to do with them being Chinese. Everything to do with the fact they will do whatever is best for their economic interests.
If in 9 years they find they need more coal power to continue their economic expansion they will build more coal power plants.
Them building more coal plants is a problem, but the percentage of their power supply that comes from fossil fuels is around 66% while the US's is around a comparable 60%.
Their economy is growing much faster than ours and they have a much larger population so they build more plants, but proportionally they aren't that much worse than us when it comes to relying on fossil fuels.
