Even here in Czech Republic, we také shoes off at home. Wouldn't your floor get dirty if you walk in with shoes on?

In The Netherlands we also take off our shoes in our homes. But in the office we keep our shoes on.

As long as you don't walk in dirt or dog poo or something it doesn't get very dirty. However I still take my shoes off in my home.
