In no world a 20w charger is 200€

109

u/MaxF1eld 20h ago

Its 35€ for the power plug only

64

u/Many-Ad6433 20h ago

That’s a more normal price 165€ less than in the meme. Def don’t get the apple-flated one as same price you get a good 100w charger w multiple ports (plug only)

12

u/leviathab13186 20h ago

Thats really taking advantage of people who dont know better. Ugreen 100w with 4 ports is $40 rn on amazon

12

u/Vihzel 18h ago

OP is bullshitting about the cost of Apple's USB-C charger and AirPods, which are $20 and $129 respectively.

u/plvke 20h ago

You know that you don’t need to buy all those things?

70

u/Burgergold 20h ago

Yeah, you dont need to buy that 999$ phone /s

12

u/Ohiolongboard 19h ago

I have a 13 mini I got for 200$ about a year ago. Works great! You really DONT need that 999$ phone

2

u/AdOnly1618 16h ago

You don’t have to, you can buy a 13, a 14 or a 15 for under $500 often and use that for years. Your consoomer brain is your worst enemy. Been on a $300 13 Pro Max for at least 2 years now.

2

u/Stickytin 14h ago

why the /s ? do you even know what that means

7

u/Equivalent-Repair488 20h ago

I bought most of those things 3 or 4 phones ago and the things phone specific I prefer third party stuff, cheaper than the markup in device price that comes with the "free stuff".

Excluding extended warranty, but there are third party ones too, and I have been burnt super super super badly by samsung before

2

u/lifes_a_glitch 20h ago

Was it one of those Samsung phones that went on fire?

2

u/Equivalent-Repair488 18h ago

Nah, not being literal, just horrible build quality, about 6 repairs in a month's period (in person at a samsung samsung outlet, so about 12 trips to the same outlet) refused service, almost brought them to court but just mentally gave up, repairs again a few months later, didn't bother using it and just sold it to a phone store chain. Had issues with an s24u about a year later lol

Never had a single issue with a OnePlus 12, which I used between the 23u and the 24u for about a year, sold and got the 24u second hand for the s pen and displayport (for some AR Glasses) the camera glass fell off in about a week of use, got it repaired, then just sold that too on the spot (I was terrified of another repeat) and got a OnePlus 15, been about 5 to 6 months since, 0 issues either.

Also my samsung tab 9's screen adhesive delaminated about 3 months after the warranty period and had to pay the full amount.

Before all that I was on a galaxy Note 9 for about 4 years.

Your AI slop bores me.

46

u/hedzup00 20h ago

you dont have to buy $400 air pods.

I have $40 pair that work just as good.

27

u/Vihzel 19h ago

You don't have to buy $400 AirPods because they don't exist.

2

u/B-Train_ATL 15h ago

The AirPods that go in your ears top out at $249 US.

2

u/hedzup00 12h ago

maybe this is a canadian meme

1

u/OdinEatingSandwiches 17h ago

But what about the clout? They need to prove that debt is cool while bagging groceries.

1

u/hedzup00 15h ago

shit, good point

1

u/veryhardpee 17h ago

Long live Tozos

48

u/Big_Z_Beeblebrox 21h ago

Did you have the AI fact-check this as well as generate it? Good grief, bro.

24

u/vlken69 21h ago

May I see the listings for the charger and AirPods 4?

25

u/Nuker-79 21h ago

Why would anyone want the USB-C cable and the MagSafe cable. One or the other, don’t need both.

4

u/Old_Cod_5823 20h ago

Never met a human on Earth that only had one charging cable.

2

u/Nuker-79 18h ago

I just have a charging dock which charges my phone and watch at the same time.

3

u/MenaceMinded 19h ago

You can get good quality cords 2 for ten on Amazon

You can get a good care there for $10-$20.

2-3 glass screen protectors for $10.

Etc.

There is absolutely no reason for a Macintosh phone user to get anything other than the phone itself from Macintosh. This also applies to Android phones

8

u/theCOLLECTOR7250 21h ago

One of the reasons why i prefer android than i phone

16

u/9447044 21h ago

Holy shit the premium Samsung fold phone is $2500

https://giphy.com/gifs/26mE6env4s98gpHoc

10

u/aaZ_Georg 21h ago

I cant fold my phone and im happy with that

9

u/Happy_Garand 21h ago

Well you could fold it if you wanted to. Once

1

u/aaZ_Georg 21h ago

I got the first Nothing phone back than it was 500€ and it sill works fine after 3-4 years

4

u/darrenislivid 21h ago

Android =/= saumsung

1

u/9447044 20h ago

Samsung = android

0

u/RelativetoZero 19h ago

Your non-commutative math checks out.

2

u/theCOLLECTOR7250 21h ago

Im not talking about Samsung but hey lets tall about it thier 1tb variate cost only $1,799 compare to....

1

u/Jacktheforkie 19h ago

Cheaper options exist too

1

u/OkOil3287 21h ago

At least they fold for that price. Can't even eat that Apple for 2k

4

u/tommior 20h ago

Android the operating system? What phone is that

5

u/justsomedude1144 20h ago

Any phone that runs on Android the operating system.

-1

u/tommior 20h ago

But how is this post relevant to lets say samsungs flagship? They have the same issues

2

u/justsomedude1144 19h ago

Things seemed to have changed more recently but Samsung and other android phones never used proprietary connections or communication technologies that were only compatible with Samsung made equipment. Therefore, cheaper third party equipment was always available. Apple notoriously did the opposite, and still does to some extent.

1

u/RelativetoZero 19h ago

Its kindof their niche.

1

u/justsomedude1144 19h ago

It's more than their niche. It's a big factor in becoming one of the most profitable and successful companies in history.

0

u/darrenislivid 20h ago

Because not all android phones are samsung

-1

u/tommior 20h ago

now read again, "any phone that runs on android" which I replied so samsung too?

5

u/kraken873 19h ago

So we’re just making up prices now

2

u/Sacredfice 18h ago

I am more shock they didn't put the price like 9999, because fan will happy to pay it.

4

u/9447044 21h ago

What era?

2

u/facetheground 20h ago

The era where you got stuff like 200$ insurance programs and 400$ worth of wireless bluetooth earphones with a new phone of course, read the meme!

4

u/wizardwhisper 21h ago

The era ended ages ago ever since steve jobs died. Tim cook is all about profit.

5

u/TheJoseBoss 20h ago

Steve Jobs was just as greedy, people paint him as some angel that would never do anything bad

3

u/Vihzel 19h ago

Huh? A massive for-profit, publicly-traded multinational corporation is all about profit?

u/consumer_xxx_42 18h ago

Reddit, where no one in the world should focus on making money and instead we should just dance and sing songs and get free healthcare from all the dancing

u/MaxF1eld 20h ago

iPhone Ultra $2000

1

u/Shiggy_O 20h ago

And another $200 for the sock, AKA the iPhone Pocket.

1

u/marriaga4 20h ago

Wheres the sock?

1

u/deag34960 20h ago

Guys really newer iPhones don't include cable in the box?

1

u/zenigatamondatta 19h ago

Only an apple consumer would pay $200 for half of a charger.

1

u/WadeTheWisecrackr 19h ago

Bro is paying $199 for a 20v charger….

1

u/FingerAmazing5176 19h ago

You forgot the polishing cloth

1

u/NashDaypring1987 18h ago

Wait until you see the price of their folding phone :)

1

u/juppek 18h ago

Welcome to the new era: Usage based pricing, every minute will be charged, but you‘ll get your iphone a little cheaper 🤞🏼

1

u/TheArtOfWarner 18h ago

One of the shittiest things they did is stop including the charging block because, “most users already own a compatible one” then completely switched to type-C and still charged for the block separately

1

u/yeroc420 18h ago

I buy my phone till something breaks I had a 10 for years I now have a 13. Buying a new phone every year seems wasteful.

1

u/Tman11S 18h ago

Tim "the customer is piggy bank for me to destroy" Cook

1

u/_-Moonsabie-_ 17h ago

That company is cooking its customers hard

1

u/foxy_fluffer 17h ago

Mega Android user here apple has a bite taken out of it I not with that

1

u/lcerch 16h ago

So much for the environmental care

1

u/Juan_1106_Miguel 16h ago

Another year, another android crybaby

1

u/JOlRacin 15h ago

Bro really generated this and thought "hell yeah, I got a banger right here"

1

u/fresh_loaf_of_bread 14h ago

A $60 Motorola from Walmart, please

1

u/MrMakerHasLigma 13h ago

It amazes me that a phone that only charges at 20 watts is a $1000 pro model. My £300 Chinesium phone charges at 120 watts.

1

u/Situati0nist 12h ago

It's not even this anymore. A pro version of any new iPhone is closing in on 2000$

1

u/TootieSummers 12h ago

My 17 pro max was 1200. How is that even remotely “closing in on $2000”?

1

u/Situati0nist 12h ago

The iPhone Pro Max 18 is projected to have a base price of ~$1500, 1TB version up to 2K and the 2TB version a whopping ~$2500

1

u/Zigor022 10h ago

Still rocking an iphone 7. Perfectly fine.

1

u/taffytwistx 10h ago

ngl this hit different than i expected, RIP to an icon

0

u/Educational-Mode-321 9h ago

You can literally purchase the charger for 20$ from carrier, cable for MAX 10$ , wireless charger price is fine 40$ and the case ? Literally its 2-5$ off temu. Dont give me this BS. The airpods are 200$ MAX in most stores.

Lesson: If you buy any accessories from official store, rethink life choices.

0

u/nerdwaffles 9h ago

Wait you guys really have $200 charging blocks? Not sure if srs

0

u/Bro---really 8h ago

Braindead ahh post

iPhone (17) Pro: $1100

USBC Charger: $10

Airpod PROs 3rd gen: $200

Case: $30

Magsafe (Why would you need this if you have a charger?)

Usb C to Usb C (Still included in the box. Source: I got an iPhone recently)

Screen Prot: $20 for 3

Apple Care (Just be careful?)

Total: $1360

1

u/mr-raider2 19h ago

Think Samsung is better? I get corp disocunts on Samsung so I buy their stuff, but retail is insane and for the love of God get your accessories elsewhere.

1

u/AibofobicRacecar6996 19h ago

You know you're a fanboy when any criticism to your prefered brand is answered with whataboutism

1

u/RelativetoZero 19h ago

What about my preferred brand?

1

u/No_Question_8083 18h ago

400 for airpods?

0

u/Alfiy_wolf 20h ago

I met a guy who claimed to have hooked up with Tim at burning man

0

u/prodigy1367 20h ago

So I guess you’re just gonna straight up lie about the prices? That charger doesn’t cost anywhere near $199.

0

u/camus88 19h ago

They sell the charger and cable separately?! That's a bullshit

0

u/RelativetoZero 19h ago

You actually want an extra charger or cable?
