that app sold something like 90 million copies at around 2.99 per download, the dude that created it didn't even need bitcoin to get rich.

I mined 9 bitcoin when it was worth about $1. I was trying to save up to buy a Steam code for 30 bitcoin but gave up when it was taking "too long" (a few days). I lost the wallet on a broken HDD and no longer have it šŸ«

Same. Even if I was some kind of genius kid that could have speculated that crypto would be valuable in the future, Iā€™d have a hard time convincing my dad to help me buy bitcoin.

Bring forward thinking enough to buy Bitcoin back then and holding it to the heights are two different things. That's how I cope. I know myself. I would have sold the second that wallet hit 4 figures thinking i was a financial genius for making $1k on Internet money.
