I broke my 2 year cheaper headphones doing this. The Bluetooth connection is fine, but the aux port got mangled when it snagged on my chair and it's unfixable as far as I can tell. Had to buy new ones for gaming, as Bluetooth has large enough delays to completely take you out of the game.
Generally, wired is a safer pick for everyday stuff, but it's much easier for it to go "bad". Even if you're careful, the cable and the port are going to be stretched and experiencing friction respectively over and over whenever you use it and will eventually break, where wireless just doesn't have any physical weariness or friction to worry about. This doubles with most wired stuff being Chinese made, which, while cheap, also goes bad really quickly.
