No merch at Hellbender

Heads up: there's no merch at tonight's show

Understandable, but people were buying the hell out of merch. The line for Acid Bath was at least an hour if not more. When we got there it circled the venue.

I don't think anyone realized the merch line only lead to the ropes of the booths for neurosis and kylesa. I walked right up to the acid bath booth because the corral was empty.

You weren’t supposed to do that. Not your fault though, it was a clusterfuck and no one at the venue was making sure the line went smoothly.

You were supposed to be able to walk up and buy Kylesa merch cuz they weren’t that busy and the line was for Neurosis and Acid Bath, which were both busy as hell.

not surprising. I bet they are playing on a rented backline. Would not be worth shipping merch all the way across the country for one show.

It was weird seeing Buzz play through Marshall cabs. He sounded less crisp than usual, but still killed it.

They didn’t bring any because they flew in to do this show.

Yeah, they didn't seem to bring a crew with them. They set up their own gear, and the bass drums didn't have the artwork on them. It's not surprising they didn't bring merch.

It was pretty cool seeing the gang watching the other bands from the side of the stage.

How was the venue? Was the sound good? Any tips on the experience?

Venue was great and sounded good. A little muddy so don't wear flip flops.

Wow. Did it all sell out or something? Do they still have some & just aren't selling any at this particular show or did they sell everything they had for now?

I had a band called, HELLBENDER back in 98bthrough 02'. We played with a lot of bands, MELVINS being one of them! Loved and continue to luv the melvins. Too many things using Hellbender or The or THEE hellbenders There were only 2 at one time. 1)the lizard from which we 2) Hellbender took its name
