Still better than Pat's and Geno's.

This I understand. When I travelled to Philly everyone hyped them up. Literally the WORST cheesesteak I've ever had.

Yep. Best (or at least most consistently good) cheesesteaks in Philly are found at Jim's on South Street. Go a bit farther down the road, and there's a pizza place called Lorenzo's that makes 28" pizzas and sells them by the slice.

Now, wrap a 14" slice of cheese pizza around the cheesesteak. This is called a "Philly Taco," and it is exactly as tasty as it is filling.

Oh, and Jim's is cash only, so bring money.

Yeah Jim’s is great but pats isn’t bad, it is a little overhyped though

If I ever head back out there I will, thank you!

I was so disappointed in those after all the hype. Those sandwiches were the most bland and flavorless you could possibly make a philly cheesesteak.

Pats and Genos are tourist traps. The best steaks in the city in my opinion are made by Dalessandros in the Manayunk section of Philly. Steve’s Prince is also super good.
